Parents, after making the difficult decision to take your child to therapy, what comes next? You have now taken a big step in deciding to support your child this way but where do you go from here? We now address some misconceptions and questions that you may have after your child starts attending therapy sessions.
Si usted comienza a darse cuenta de que su hijo(a) podría beneficiarse de los servicios de terapia o el maestro de su hijo(a) lo sugiere, puede que tenga sentimientos encontrados a la vez. Whether you start noticing that you child could benefit from therapy services or your child's teacher suggests it, you may experience multiple feelings at once. You may feel anxious, a little worried, or may experience feelings of shame. You may also be left feeling as a "bad" parent. Don't Worry! We are addressing some of these feelings that may emerge when you are considering engaging in therapy as a support for your child. We are also answering questions that you may feel too embarrassed to ask a therapist.
