We begin a new sermon series the first Sunday of 2026. As followers of Christ, we are called to examine our lives. This year we will spend time investigating our own lives by asking a series of questions beginning with, “Do you…?” Today's message is “Do you prioritize?” Whatever you prioritize will influence your decisions. As followers of Christ we are called to seek first His kingdom. This Sunday we will explore what it means to make Jesus first, and how to live it out.
Today is the celebration of our First Fruits. Pastor Lynn will preach an inspiring message on how our First Fruits are dangerous to the enemy! The celebration of First Fruits comes from Deuteronomy 21:1-11. This was an offering given to the Lord from the first of the harvest, in anticipation for what was to come later. Deuteronomy 21:2 says, “Take some of the First Fruits of all that you produce from the soil of the land the Lord your God is giving you and put them in a basket. Then go to the place the Lord your God will choose as a dwelling for his Name.” This offering was freely given by the people, but it was also to be sacrificial. This free will offering was given in anticipation of what God would do in the future as He brought forth the harvest. The Celebration of First Fruits signified the recognition that EVERYTHING comes from the Lord and that God’s people would never idolize the blessings, but would keep the Lord their “First Love” (Exodus 20:3; Matthew 22:37). During our response time at the end of the service, we will be giving our free-will, sacrificial, offerings to the Lord. This is a celebration of expectation regarding all the good things the Lord has in store for us in 2026!
Today is Christmas Sunday! Along with singing Christmas Carols, Pastor David will be speaking on "Dangerous Birth!" The Birth of Jesus was dangerous to the enemy because His incarnation changed the world forever! Do not miss this opportunity to celebrate the Christmas season together and be challenged to keep the birth of Jesus, our "Immanuel," as the center of this holiday.
Today, Pastor David will preaches a message about the call for believers to have an expectation to be used by the Lord to be agents of restoration. Restoration to Jesus Christ, toone another and to this world. You will not want to miss this message for it will set you up to “the ministry of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:18).
Pastor Lynn preaches on "Dangerous Change!" When we encounter changes in life, it challenges our thoughts, attitudes, and even measures our willingness to obey the Lord. Central to our transformation is being challenged by the Lord to change areas in our lives to become more like Him. This change also requires us to courageously traverse new territory. We are not alone when the Lord is initiating change in our lives! He is with us, leading and guiding this change! As we enter into this Advent Season, we face a New Year and change is upon us. How will we face these changes? This message will challenge us to embrace the changes the Lord has ordained for us as we walk courageously into our New Year.
Today we have a very special guest speaker, Rev. Josh Herndon. Josh is married to Pastor David and Lynn's daughter, Phoebe. Josh also is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. Currently, Josh serves as a Ministry Consultant and Vice President at GenFi Ministries where he helps churches with loans and investments; and pastors with investments and retirement. He and his wife also serve as lead pastors at Journey Church in Willamina, Oregon. Before Josh was at GenFi, he was a church planter and barista in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has been ordained since 2011 and earned his Masters of Business Administration in 2024. When not at work, he’s likely being a taxi driver with his wife to their 5-kids.
Pastor David gives an update on the Poland missions trip and will be preaching on “Dangerous Resolve.” In a flaky world we need to resolve to serve Jesus and live a consistent, Christian life. This message will teach you practical ways to live this out in your daily life.
Today Pastor Lynn preaches a message on "Dangerous Words." Our speech reveals our relationship with the Lord, and our submission to Him and His word. Scripture says many things about the power of our words. We are responsible for what we say and, as Christ's followers, we need to realize our speech reveals the condition of our heart. Jesus said, "But the things that come out of a person's mouth come from the heart, and these defile them" (Matthew 15:18). When we live fleshly, our words can be destructive, but when we walk by the power of the Holy Spirit, our words can be powerfully used by the Lord! We can become dangerous to the enemy when our tongue is submitted to Christ and is used to speak His words! Listen and be challenged by this message!
This service was Youth Sunday. Our Awakened Youth give a special presentation and Pastor Nick Gullickson gives a brief word on goin All-In. Also, we have a special guest speaker. Police Chaplain, Ryan Wright, speaks on being "In the Midst of the Storm."
Tammie and Earl Shorrocks - Ministry Partners to Poland. This dynamic couple has the same spiritual DNA as Crossroads. They love the things of the Spirit and are open to flowing in the prophetic gifts. They assist the national church of Poland by helping train leaders for church plants. The Shorrocks have made a strategic alliance with the national Christian leadership to target areas in the country without a viable Spirit-filled church. This partnership assists for Polish pastors to go to unreached areas of the country and plant a well funded and leadership approved new church. They see their role as assisting the Polish church to reach their nation for Jesus. They are currently back in the USA on missionary furlough. This is a time for them to reconnect with partnering churches and raise additional support for their ministry in Poland.
Secrets can be a very dangerous thing! Secrecy can be due to being ashamed or embarrassed of something we do or have done. Our relationship with Christ is not one of those things. As a matter of fact we are called to spend time in a secret place so that we can model the Christian lifestyle to others. As believers we are called to cultivate a lifestyle of intimacy with Christ and to be people who spend time together with the Lord. Today we will explore the importance of spending time in the secret place with Christ.
As a believer, we are challenged with our thought life on a daily basis. Today, Pastor David speaks a powerful message entitled, “How to Develop a Dangerous Mind for Christ.” He shares biblical truths to help you overcome the lies and deception that far too many believers are ensnared by. You will not want to miss this message.
Many times in our journey with the Lord, the Holy Spirit leads us into paths that are different from what we expect. This can leave us disappointed, discouraged, or even defeated. But the Lord has a purpose for our redirection! There are many examples of people in the Bible who had redirection in their lives that they didn't understand, but still obeyed. As a result of this dangerous direction, God revealed Himself to them in greater ways and used them powerfully. This Sunday, you do not want to miss Pastor Lynn's message about how the Holy Spirit redirects us in our lives so that we are dangerous to the enemy!
In a world where everyone wants to tell you what you are, followers of Christ need to grasp the reality of who they are. Today we will be addressing the subject of your Dangerous Design as a Christ-follower. The Scriptures clearly state that we are “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14). Knowing who you are in Christ is a powerful source of authority. We explore the powerful message of God’s Word to the believer.
Today Pastor Lynn will be preaching a message on "Dangerous Prayers!" Did you know the content of our prayers can be dangerous to the enemy? I mean, really dangerous to the enemy! In the Bible, the very first time the name of God, Jehovah Sabaoth, the Lord of Hosts or Armies, is used is during a desperate prayer by a woman for victory in a long endured battle. You see, the Lord not only fights our battles as we pray, but He reveals Himself to us as a Mighty Warrior when we pray! Today, we will not only learn about how our prayers are dangerous to the enemy, but we will also speak dangerous prayers over our battles. You do not want to miss this!
The Bible talks a great deal about those we associate with and how our relationships with people impacts our life, choices and actions. Today, Pastor David preaches a message on how your friendships can be used to do great things for the Lord. We also celebrate our Fall Launch and have great things to share about Crossroads with you.
Jose and Ashley Talavera spent the last 11 years as Assemblies of God World Missionaries to the country of Spain. They helped plant churches in the cities of both Granada and Málaga. In Granada their first term they started a multi-generational family ministry for both inside the church and outside reaching out to the community. In Málaga, they began a non-profit organization that reached out to the community primarily through English-learning, to build relationships and share the love and hope of Jesus.
Pastor Lynn brings Part 2 to the message called, "Dangerous Resources!" Do you know the Lord has given you all the resources you need for the assignment He has given to you? Are you aware of these resources or are you asking for something else to equip you? Do you believe you do not have enough to do what He has called you to do? When God called Moses to lead His people out of Egypt, Moses felt unqualified and insecure. He did not see what God saw! Yet, God used what Moses already had! In Exodus 4:2 when the Lord was revealing how He had already equipped Moses, He said to him, "What is in your hand?" He didn't ask Moses to go get something else; He used what Moses already had. We will be challenged to see the resources the Lord has already given to us so that we move forward in faith to do the assignment He has called us to do!
