Several of the CFMT favorite detectives - Will Ruby, Eddie James and Susie Beck, Lord Ashford - along with Will's fiancé Roberta and Monty's valet, Emil Whitlock, have traveled to New York City for the annual Association of Private Detectives convention. Will and Roberta have invited their two favorite cabbies, Agnes and Doris, to join them at the convention for what they consider the silliest part - the made-up crime. When a real crime is committed, the gang gets a chance to show just how brilliant they really are.
