Welcome to day 10 and I hope you've been enjoying this festive podcast series.
If you've only just joined the series, welcome, but make sure you go back and listen to all the other episodes as there have been great words of wisdom from each and every contributor and we really appreciate them taking the time to share their knowledge.
Today we have Bianca Broadbent who is a bike fitter and physio with some really important words for advice when working with junior riders or if you're a parent with an aspiring young racer.
Especially in our time of accelerated development where teams are scouting and recruiting younger and younger athletes in order to find a competitive edge... it's worth taking a step back and looking at the longer term picture.
Secondly, Kate from Hackney Bike Fit asks a question to those of you who commute by bike and those that don't see themselves as 'real' or 'serious' cyclists. It's amazing how our mindset can hold us back from finding the real path forward. Show Links:

Understanding how you feel on the bike is actually what all our devices are trying to help you quantify so listen on for 2 different ways you can reconnect with how you feel on the bike.

Some riders don't believe in bike fitting...
Even some of those who have booked sessions with us, don't really think it's going to work...
Is this the same reason why so many who visit physios for treatment don't end up doing their prescribed exercises?
After a recent fit that spurred some heated discussion, Mat & Wei explore the psychology around getting good results as a movement practitioner...
What are the mental barriers for patients and riders who need help, and how you can help yourself to get the best results from your practitioner.

This week the team discuss a dilemma which all good bike fitters must grapple...
It has a significant bearing on how a practitioner approaches their whole process and will affect which clients / riders will identify with them.
There's no avoiding it... It has to be addressed...
Or you risk helping no one...
