Hiii Gym Fans!
Happy Thursday!! And welcome to the year 2026!! We are SO back and extremely excited to kick the New Year off right with a stellar episode for you guys.
Of course we are going to give you our top 10 gymnastics headlines from the last couple of weeks, including NCAA gym news, international gym news and so much more.
However, the main event today is our first ever DECODED interview! Today, we have the University of Florida’s Owen Field to talk with us about all things NCAA, his perspective on 2025 Worlds and why he’s obsessed with X (formerly Twitter).
It was so fun getting to hear his insight into the new NQS changes ahead of the start of the 2026 season. We yapped so hard we decided to put our one Gymnasts Are People Too headline into our top 10 headlines since we ran out of time for the full segment.
What a way to kick off 2026; we can’t wait for you to see what we have in store.
Let us know in the comments what you thought of this interview and who you want to see on DECODED next!
We'll catch you on the flip side!

Welcome to our last episode of 2025!! It feels like yesterday that we started this podcast… Well it was pretty close to yesterday actually lol. However, we are so happy to be on this journey with y’all, and what better way to celebrate DECODED than a gymnastics year in review episode.
Of course we’re giving you your top 10 gymnastics headlines, but then we’re moving on to a FULL recap (or as close as we could possibly get to it) of the biggest gymnastics headlines of 2025. Everything from Yul Moldauer's suspension to Clemson’s new co-head coaches — we’re talking about it all.
Obviously, we are only human, so if we missed something that made your top headline recap, let us know in the comments!
Finally, we’re going over our Spotify wrapped that had us SHOCKED.
EXCITING NEWS!! Gymnastics Now dropped our first-ever calendar featuring amazing photography of both NCAA and Elite athletes. Plus, it features key meets, birthdays of your fav gymnasts, and other important dates, making it the perfect holiday gift for the gymnastics fan in your life OR for yourself!
Head to our site to purchase now:

And last but not least, we are giving away the one and only mockup of this calendar. Despite it being a test run for what would become our actual 2026 calendar, it is VERY similar and has a different cover photo and interior, making it a one-of-a-kind.

Once you’ve completed these tasks, head to the DECODED Instagram and comment “DONE” on the latest post to be entered.
If you want to leave a five star review while you’re at it, we won’t stop ya! We are so excited for this journey to continue in 2026; we have huge plans for what’s to come! Happy Holidays.

Happy Thursday!! We are back in action with our regular segments this week! This means we of course have our top 10 gymnastics headlines, including, but not limited to, European Gymnastics lifting the ban on Russian and Belarusian athletes, a breakdown of Melanie de Jesus dos Santos’ shocking interview and some BIG NCAA commitment news.
From there we move on to the main meat and potatoes, if you will. We’re discussing and breaking down the NCAA NQS overhaul and two other new rules that will take effect at the start of the 2026 season.
Finally, in Gymnast Are People Too we’re talking about Simone Biles’ house OFFICIALLY being completed!! Beyond happy for them as it has felt like the home turned into the next Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Spain (the cathedral that is still not done being built more than 140 years after they started).
Let us know in the comments what you think of these new rules for NCAA!

Happy Thanksgiving!! We are so friggin thankful for you and your support on this new adventure. So of course we had to show you some love and gratitude by giving you a lighthearted, easy to watch episode for you to put on while you eat your reheated leftovers.
We promise we aren’t skipping out on the good stuff – we have a whole top 10 lineup for you as always. We’re talking NCAA gym news, a little Junior Worlds recap and a few other need-to-know gymnastics headlines.
However, after that all structure goes out the window (kinda, because Patricia is too type A to completely throw it out the window without a plan LOL), we are reviewing, recapping and reminiscing on the cinematic masterpiece that is Stick It. Yes, you read that right.
We went back and rewatched the 2006 cult classic and re-evaluated its relevance, how well it portrayed the sport and how good the film itself really is nearly 20 years later. We hope our rave reviews will get you to watch it this season because, dare we say, it is the PERFECT holiday movie (pun intended).
Comment your favorite Stick It quote and what you rate it in our comments.
We hope you guys have the best Thanksgiving!
As always, make sure you are following DECODED wherever you get your podcasts and on social media. Also, don’t forget to leave us ratings on Spotify if you’re loving the podcast!

HEADS UP:

We’re SO back and of course we had to make our comeback BIGGER and better than before. So instead of two separate episodes – one regular DECODED EP and one Worlds Recap EP – we decided to leave them together and give you a JUMBO sized EP. Let’s just call it even after missing last week and getting this week’s up late… okay?
So what can you expect? A wicked fast Top 10 headlines segment, including some worlds content, what you should do with your time now that Worlds is over and a little NCAA news.
BUT the main event – the biggest part of this week’s podcast – is a FULL, IN-DEPTH review of Jakarta 2025. From mishaps to highway robbery… we’re covering it all.
Finally, we wrap up this week’s episode with a Jorda(y)n squared segment that lasts all of about 10 seconds.
We hope you enjoy this mega large episode because lord knows we can’t be doing this all the time!! Back to regular scheduled (and timed) EPs next week.

Welcome back to the DECODED podcast for episode 4! This week is going to be a big one as we are just two weeks out from our first Worlds of the quad. With that being said, this episode is NOT going to break down the U.S. women’s world team that will be heading to Jakarta this month. Instead, that will be a special episode we’ll release a little later this week!
We did this so we could still bring you the Top 10 gymnastics headlines as well as dive into some other non-Worlds related gym news. This includes remembering the life of Indonesian athlete, 19-year-old Naufal Takdir Al Bari, some major injury updates, and a Szombathely World Challenge Cup recap.

Editor’s note: Olympic Beam Champ Alice D’Amato will not be at the 2025 World Championships as she did not make the Italian World team.
