Video Marketing for Lawyers: The Key to Client Attraction Hi everyone, and welcome to the very first episode of my podcast! I'm Linda Donnelly, and I've been helping businesses grow with strategic marketing for over a decade. A lot of my clients are lawyers, and lately, there's one topic we keep coming back to... video. Now, I get it, some of you might be rolling your eyes thinking, "Video? Isn't that just for the TikToks and YouTubes?" But trust me, video marketing is a game-changer for law firms. That's why today, I want to bust some myths and hopefully turn you into video believers by the end of this episode. Video Isn't Just a Trend, It's the Future Okay, let's get some numbers out of the way. Did you know that the average screen time of a person in the US is SEVEN hours a day? The average user on TikTok spends 90 minutes a day watching videos. The average YouTube user watches more than an hour a day. More than 80% of all worldwide internet traffic is constituted by video content. Short-form videos under 2 minutes have the best engagement rate. That's not just teenagers; it's busy professionals, the same people who might need your legal services. The bottom line is this: businesses of all kinds see way better results when they include video in their marketing. It's more engaging, more memorable... frankly, people just like it better than reading a wall of text. Why Lawyers NEED Video Here's the thing, choosing a lawyer isn't like buying a pair of shoes online. It's personal. How to Spot a Fake Review from a Competitor (And What to Do About It) You know that sickening feeling? You get a 1-star review notification. You read it. It's terrible. And then you check your records... and you've never even met this person. It's an infuriating, helpless feeling. And I'm here to tell you it's not just "annoying" anymore—it's dangerous. Why? Because Google's new AI is reading that fake review. When a new customer asks Google, "Is [Your Business] any good?" the AI doesn't just see your star rating.
