This is one of the biggest problems we encounter when it comes to dog training and behavior. It is important to know thatif we don’t lead our dog then you are letting them decide where to go. That can put a lot of tension and stress on a dog so that is why the most important thing about the walk is to stay calm, Relax and lead. I encourage you to have a strict first 15 minutes by not letting your dog smell the ground AndI always go the opposite way. You have to be patient, the first minutes will be harder but you will see your dogs energy decreases as you go. By having a strict structure in the wok we are building a bond with our dog, draining more energy, mental stimulation and you are making your dog feel more comfortable. So don’t let your dog drive.
