Don’t Think, Act! is a podcast for actors by actors where they can have free exposure talking about their craft, inspirations and acting goals! Let's get the business to know you better.
Inspired by Inside The Actor's Studio & Actors on Actors I’m keen to create a resource for performers of all levels, to learn from actors of all levels.
The business changes all the time and I think it would be great to have peers talking about their feelings; methods; offer inspiration on coping in a competitive field, and how they prepare for their craft.
I’m fascinated as to why we do what we do, and how we can help each other on our journeys.
I also love a cringe worthy audition story!
If you're an actor, and love talking creativity, I’d be honoured to have you take part:
Contact dontthinkactpodcast@gmail.com with a little about you and your acting profiles/links.

It’s All About The Journey!
For the first time, I interview 2 creatives, 1 of which is a returning interviewee, Lee Hutchings. He is joined by Aaron Wayne as they represent the London Creative Artists Network, a creative community that is growing in London.
We look at the importance of networking; the decline of quality in film, as quantity and profit margins are being put first in cinema; A.I. and it’s future, and so much more!

Lily Streames is an actor, writer and producer from Essex, and this year, was one of the directors of the Essex International Film Festival.
She started performing young, charging her family to watch her perform from a very early age, from their home!
We talk about what it's like growing up with her Dad being an actor; acting on screen in a comedy and why Kristen Wiiig is a genius.
We also ponder if social media has helped the acting industry?

The loveliest of chats to kick off the 3rd series of DTA.
It begins with pizza, as creativity should, and ends with loveliest of creative chats.
An acting journey that starts much younger that you'd expect, and takes a detour and returns to a passion that Harry absolutely excels at.
We also discuss the influence of Robin Williams, Dace Chappelle, comedic acting & the first ever Essex International Film Festival that happened earlier this year.

Tess Glinert is a Triple Threat Musical Theatre Performer. Tess moved from France to London during 2020 to gain more training, but was interrupted by a global pandemic.
We talk about the differences between the English & French culture, and how the arts are valued in each country. We also ponder, is Taylor Swift the new Shakespeare?
Here are Tess’s links, please check out her self-written/performed Cabaret:

I didn't get it, what a pile of shit!
Richard is an actor turned director and one of the greatest practitioners I’ve had the honour of working alongside. He runs a weekly acting class in Colchester, Manningtree & Ipswich, as well as directing various plays in the Essex, most recently he staged Educating Rita at The Headgate Theatre.

Are you telling the right story?
Conor is a working-class Actor, Motion Capture Artist, Theatre Practitioner and a fully qualified Daoist Flow Yoga Teacher.
He is an Associate Artist of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain and regularly facilitates for The Old Vic on their School's Club programme, delivering bespoke workshops to schools from areas with poor arts provisions.
Conor and I talk about sooooo much, but some of the industry observations highlighted are actors neutralising their accents; who’s teaching our future artists, and are they qualified? We also touch upon the genius that is Rory Kinnear. There’s plenty more to unpack, brimming with inspiration.

3 Star Richards
Paul Richards is a drummer/drum teacher, comedy writer/performer (for theatre), playwright and novelist based in Cambridge. 42, lanky, can’t grow a beard.
As a writer/performer he has taken countless (well, 34) shows to the Edinburgh Fringe, tours the UK frequently going through quite a lot of cars and has had some quite nice reviews in the process. He talks very fast, usually about his love of Ginsters slices and often tries to justify it all as theatre. His 2018 play won an award, with his 2019 (but still touring…) show, Harvey Greenfield is Running Late picking up national acclaim. The feature film version finally went into production in 2021, with Paul once again taking the title role alongside Mr Motivator, Liz Barker (Blue Peter), Norman Lovet (Red Dwarf) and many others.
