No Sleep for Katie Breathwick

Today we welcome the fantastic broadcaster, podcaster and all round asset to the force, Katie Breathwick to tell us about the time a sleepover turned into a crime scene - and not because Melissa wouldn't shut up!

We're then taken back to San Francisco where we learn about a certain lady who doesn't take the end of romance at all well, as well as hearing from a listener who has a whopper of a crime for our detectives to solve.

Drunk Women Solving Crime
DWSC LIVE: With Laura Checkley

We're live from the Museum of Comedy today and thrilled to finally have the brilliant Laura Checkley on the show, the crime should be how long this took to arrange!

Laura kicks us off by recounting a criminal story for which the trio of perps should prepare their BAFTA acceptance speeches, and where the only real winner was the locksmith.

The team - and audience - then unravel a case which sees a cast of many come out of their shells, while the audience crime could be a classic case of sell de fence (listen to the episode to understand that one).

A Lotta Louvre for Alice Etches

Today's guest is the fantastic comedian Alice Etches who brings a crime tale as middle class as Inspector Morse but nonetheless perturbing.

But we wait with bated breath, as perhaps today is the day we actually solve something in real time on the show, as Hannah presents a case which has enthralled the entire world and even Poirot would have his work cut out with this one, Sacre bleu!

Lastly, our listener crime requires everyone to use their loaves to come to a satisfactory conclusion.

An Orange a Day...with Sophie Craig

It's the second drop of the week and today's guest, actor, singer, and collector of crime stories, Sophie Craig came in to share a modicum of criminal based tales from her own life, while also giving Taylor and Hannah a hand in solving a spellbinding story of witchy endeavours, which is appropriate as we're still in spooky season at the time of release.

And as per usual, this week's listener crime is very much our bag, so please keep them coming in!

A Bit of a Stir, with Kemi Rogers

In today's ep of DWSC, TV and radio presenter Kemi Rogers popped in to tell us about how being victim of a crime led to her first TV appearance, although it could be argued that was the real crime....

This week's case has some parallels to Kemi's own crime when it also resulted in an 'awkward' TV appearance.

Finally, this week's listener story features a perpetrator who lives in the shadows, as most of them do!

If You Squeeze For Long Enough ....with Alex Bertulis-Fernandes

In today's ep, we are joined by the fantastic 'comedium' (just something new we're trying out), Alex Bertulis-Fernandes, who kicks us off with a criminal tale in which she ultimately ends up as benefactor - and how often can you say THAT?

The team then gathers to look into a case where five's company, and you should prepare yourself for ALL the science in this ep.

Lastly, we hear from a listener where it sounds like one piece of holiday attire was the last straw for his wife.

Audrey's One Degree of Separation

Joining the force today is one half of the legendary Receipts Podcast, the one and only, Audrey!

Audrey proved she has a varied background in getting to the bottom of criminal behaviour and showed her smarts by telling us two stories from her own life involving mistaken identity, one of which where she needed to prove her own innocence.

The gang then investigates a criminal mastermind whose victims would probably benefit from obtaining a photographic memory - which is ironic. The case is also accompanied by some epic hand signals by Audrey - one for our Patreons to enjoy!

Finally, we hear from a listener, who almost definitely wasn't saved by the bell.

'Scuse Fingers, with Desiree Burch

This week's second drop sees the mirth continue as Desiree Burch pops in to help our hosts get to the bottom of a crime involving one cheesy crook, while also giving props to the short kings of the world.

Before all that, Desiree talks about being victim of a very 'London' scam artist, which is a rite of passage for anyone settling in the smoke.

Lastly, we hear from a listener who had to deal with an intruder who could be stalking one of the UK's biggest comedians but seems to be looking in all the wrong places.

She then aids and abets Hannah and Taylor with a case where the perp is well and truly up shit creek without a paddle, and Anna reveals she's not the ideal fishing partner.

Drunk Women Solving Crime
The Big Four Oh Oh, with Natalie Cassidy!

Welcome to episode FOUR HUNDRED!

How are our host detectives still alive after 400 episodes worth of cava?!

Whatever it is, it's working, as they were both in fine fettle for this record with one of the most long wished for guests by the DWSC crew, the one and only NATALIE CASSIDY!

The legendary EastEnders star provided some behind the scenes gossip, when she told us about an injury sustained when the soap transmitted a live episode.

The team then explores a case, which proves the language of love can't be picked up in a dictionary - even if you happen to be French.

Then to round off this Quadricentennial ep, we hear from a listener who should take the criminal activity as a sign that they might be a little outnumbered by the rest of her family.

Blame it on Ann, with The Ventnor Darlings

Today's show is three quarters Isle of Wight, as we welcome Matt Hitt and Laura Reid, aka The Ventnor Darlings, who also happen to be BFFs with our very own Hannah George!

As is always the way when you introduce a bestie to a new group, you make them tell the story that always has you in stitches, so Hannah gets Matt to do just that, and you won't be disappointed, it involves a lightning strike AND TV legend Carol Vorderman ... I KNOW!

We then hear about the time our guests were all at sea with the local council and how being named and shamed backfired big time for the authorities, before the crew delve into a case very fitting for the current 'spooky season'.

Finally, this week's listener crime is enough to put Taylor and Laura off their grub!

For the second DWSC drop of the week, we're joined by the excellent comedian and all-round good egg, Juliette Burton!

This gem of a trio then explores a crime story featuring one zesty perp before settling a mysterious theft one listener has been waiting quarter of a century to unpack.

Drunk Women Solving Crime
DWSC LIVE: With Jessie Nixon

It's the final episode recorded at this year's Edinburgh Fringe and the gals go out with a bang after being joined by comedian Jessie Nixon.

Jessie opens the show by telling us about the time she unwittingly ended up on the wrong side of the tracks but ultimately went full steam ahead to fix the injustice.

We then hear a baffling case which might help the phrase 'shall I be mother' spread to a global audience.

And last, but in no way least, today's audience crime is perhaps the most epic thing anyone has ever shared on stage before - buckle up!
