Geordie follows with a look at the Sovereign Citizens Movement, AKA the SovCits. They're a kinda loose anti-government collective who believe they are independent of societal laws and authority, ie, that they don't have to pay taxes or restaurant bills, don't need a driving license and aren't bound by courts and rulings, because they believe the government is illegitimate. It’s not so much an organised cult but more of a conspiracy-driven ideology connected to various scams and anti-government violence. When Kathleen Folbigg's son died from SIDS in Australia in 1989, it was a tragedy for her and her husband Craig. So they tried for a second child, who tragically died from epilepsy, aged 8 months, in 1991. When the Folbigg's third child died aged 10 months from a respiratory infection, suspicious were raised. And when the couple's fourth child died, the finger was pointed at Kathleen. There was no evidence, only some sad writings in a diary, yet she was charged with murder and manslaughter and sentenced to 30 years in prison. For 20 years, Kathleen maintained her innocence from behind bars - and then the science of genetics changed everything. As Stephen Waldorf sat in the front seat of a yellow Mini on January 14, 1983, in London, he had no idea that he was being hunted by police.
