Jesus sends out seventy-two disciples to preach, heal, and prepare the way for His coming. He warns unrepentant towns about the consequences of rejecting God’s message. The disciples return with joy, and Jesus offers a prayer of thanksgiving, rejoicing in God’s work through them. Jesus then tells the Parable of the Good Samaritan, teaching what true neighborly love looks like. The chapter concludes with the story of Martha and Mary, highlighting the importance of choosing devotion to Jesus above all else.
