Luke 15 centers on God’s joy over restoring the lost. Jesus tells three parables—the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the prodigal son—to show that God actively seeks those who have wandered away and celebrates when they return. The chapter contrasts God’s grace with self-righteousness, reminding listeners that repentance brings rejoicing in heaven and that God’s mercy extends to all, no matter how far they’ve strayed.Scripture reading is from the Berean Standard Bible.

Luke 14 shows Jesus teaching about humility, compassion, and commitment. He heals a man on the Sabbath, exposing how legalism can block mercy. At a dinner, Jesus warns against seeking honor and encourages generosity toward those who can’t repay. Through the Parable of the Great Banquet, He reveals that God’s kingdom is open to the overlooked, while many miss out because of excuses. The chapter ends with a strong call to count the cost of following Him, reminding listeners that true discipleship requires full commitment.Scripture reading is from the Berean Standard Bible.

Luke 13 centers on repentance, patience, and the surprising nature of God’s kingdom. Jesus teaches that suffering isn’t a measure of guilt and calls everyone to repent while there’s still time. Through the parable of the fig tree, He shows God’s mercy—giving space to change—but also the urgency to bear fruit.
Jesus heals a woman on the Sabbath, challenging rigid religion and revealing God’s heart for restoration over rules. He then describes the kingdom of God as small but powerful, like a mustard seed and yeast, quietly growing and transforming everything.
The chapter ends with a sobering reminder: the door to God’s kingdom won’t stay open forever, and familiarity with Jesus isn’t the same as truly following Him. Jesus laments over Jerusalem, expressing deep compassion and longing for people to turn back to God.
Jesus calls His followers to fearless, faithful living. He warns against the leaven of the Pharisees—hypocrisy, urges us to fear God alone, and challenges us to confess Christ boldly.
Through the Parable of the Rich Fool, Jesus exposes the danger of storing up earthly wealth while neglecting God. He invites us to stop worrying, seek treasures in heaven, and live with readiness for His return.
Jesus also confronts hard truths—His message brings division, demands discernment of the times, and calls for urgent reconciliation before judgment.

In Luke 11, Jesus teaches His disciples the Lord’s Prayer, urges them to ask, seek, and knock, and warns that a house divided cannot stand. He describes how an unclean spirit returns to an empty heart and reveals what true blessedness really is. Jesus points to the sign of Jonah, explains that the lamp of the body is the eye, and delivers strong woes to the Pharisees and experts in the law—a chapter calling us to sincere prayer, spiritual clarity, and authentic obedience.
Jesus sends out seventy-two disciples to preach, heal, and prepare the way for His coming. He warns unrepentant towns about the consequences of rejecting God’s message. The disciples return with joy, and Jesus offers a prayer of thanksgiving, rejoicing in God’s work through them. Jesus then tells the Parable of the Good Samaritan, teaching what true neighborly love looks like. The chapter concludes with the story of Martha and Mary, highlighting the importance of choosing devotion to Jesus above all else.
