Metapán, a city and municipality in the Santa Ana department of El Salvador. It borders Honduras and Guatemala, as it is located in the north of the country. It’s the second largest city, and in Nahuatl, it means, “river of the Maguey”. It's also a little espooky! In this episode, Cristina and Carmen share three stories from this town.

The Bewitching follows three women, in three different timelines:  Alba in 1900s Mexico, Beatrice during the great depression in Massachusetts, and Minerva in the 1990s, who’s connected to both women as she is Alba’s granddaughter and attends the same university as Beatrice, who is also the focus of Minerva’s thesis. El Chupacabras es uno de los críptidos latinoamericanos más conocidos. Los primeros avistamientos datan de 1995 en Puerto Rico, pero algunos de los relatos más extraños provienen de Chile. En el año 2000, se produjo una serie de ataques atribuidos al Chupacabras, algunos de los cuales involucraron al ejército chileno y, supuestamente, a la NASA. The Chupacabras is one of the most well known Latin Americana cryptids, the first sightings can be dated back 1995 in Puerto Rico, but some of the most bizzare reports come from Chile. In 2000, a series of attacks attributed to the Chupacabras took place, some of which involved the Chilean military and allegedly, NASA. But tragedy strikes when Antonia’s mother takes a fatal fall into El Salto and her father, consumed by grief, attempts to burn the house down with Antonia still inside.

Three years later, haunted by disturbing dreams and cryptic journal entries from her late mother, Antonia is drawn back to her childhood home when it is converted into a luxurious hotel. As Antonia confronts her fragmented memories and the dark history of the estate, she wrestles with unsettling questions she can no longer ignore: Was her mother’s death by her own hands, or was it by someone else’s?
