In the coming weeks, we’ll be journeying together toward Christmas — a season of anticipation, reflection, and light in the darker days.
And we’re not alone: all around the world, people are preparing for this remarkable celebration. During this special season of Advent, we will journey through the Advent themes of Hope, Peace, Joy and Love. Join us each week as we hear from a different pastor or leader around the Eurasia Region who will help us reflect on and bring God’s word to life in a new way.
In these last episode of this advent journey we will join Tanja Baum, she is living in Germany near Frankfurt together with her husband Martin and family. For the last two years she served as a pastor in the Church of the Nazarene in North Frankfurt.
She is also helping the Germany District, European Nazarene College and the Eurasia region with finances and data protection. She will share with us about the theme of love.

At Regional Conference, our Regional Director, Mark Louw, reminded us that Jesus did not wait for us. He came to us and willingly gave himself for our sake.He also challenged us to take initiative in our own communities. To invite someone new to sit with us over coffee or a meal, to take a walk together, to listen, to learn their story, and to hear their heart, and then to treat them as if they already belong.

Carla also reminded us that this world does not have eternal homes, only the heavenly father can provid those homes for us.

At Regional Conference, we heard a powerful reminder from Dr. Filimao Chambo, Jurisdictional General Superintendent, who invited us to see holiness not as a call to step away from the world, but as a call to live with integrity within it, representing the Kingdom in everything we do.He also challenged us to view salvation not only as a personal experience, but as something visible so that people can see God reflected through the way we live, speak, and love our neighbors.
