Many of us are going to talk about NIL and the importance of our amazing support organizations. But when we are seeing the landscape of College Sports change, we must ask the question how HBCUs and non-P-4 schools should approach recruiting across athletics.

In order for you to get a job most times you have to first apply for the job.
FAMUans and many around the nation hope that one candidate in particular has applied for the FAMU football coaches job.
While the football coaching job does not seem that it has been posted the rest of the events on campus persist.
The Basketball teams are about to play in games that they seem to be overmatched, but we continue to be hopeful for some success.
Additionally, graduation was such a rewarding thing to watch our students experience.
Here is hoping that FAMU plays the game off the field so we can enjoy the victories on the field.

Mob Rule may be a thing but in this case FAMU people have spoken with dollars that now seem to make sense of some things.
One of those things that made sense was the firing of a football coach and the reutilization that NIL is important.
It is a great time to weak up as tax season will be coming and some hope that you will give money back.
Some moves are chess moves while others are checkers and the Rattler Football fanbase has to already crowned a new King!

On the heals of a Long season FAMU alumni and fans came home to the news that Head Coach James Colzie has been relieved of his duties. Not news to be celebrated but this episode serves as a celebration of FAMUly coming together through the thick and thin.The cast has come to be known as the FAMU Avengers by some and have been able to share in the ups and downs of the season. Join us one more time as we come together to talk about what future we see for FAMU football.
FAMU’s Early Signing day is here and it seems like things are very quiet on the Highest of Seven Hills. This is not normally a good sign for a football program as recruiting is the life blood of a good program and unless we see some massive change for the future, this is another cause for concern for the FAMU faithful.
We will Raise the Orange Flags because we have Troy from Fat Mouth Sports here to talk about recruiting and to help us figure out how FAMU can improve.

FAMU finished the football season against Mississippi Valley State in a make-up game which may have helped the Rattlers stave off a losing season.
On the other end of the spectrum is the SWAC Champion FAMU volleyball team who parlayed a successful run in the SWAC tournament into an NCAA tournament berth.
Both teams finish the season around the same time but one team leaves the faithful with good feelings about the future of the program while the other team has fans wondering who the next coach will be.

The Florida Classic was an abject disaster if you are a FAMU fan.
In what is now thankfully not the last game of the season .
The game proved to be a microcosm of the many failures of the 2025-2026 season and did nothing but add fuel to the fire of those who are calling for a coaching change
Also the Volleyball team upheld the standard even when it was feared that the team might not make it.
And we mercifully begin to prepare for Spring Sports.

The Florida Classic is one of the best events that takes place in the entire state of Florida. The game has tons of pageantry, history and draws strong feelings of those who are supporters of both teams.
This year is no different and an added bonus is that the FAMU women have a basketball game on Friday Night.
Along with the sporting event the week is filled with parties and other opportunities for hobnobbing about.
The Classic aside, FAMU is also hosting the SWAC Volleyball tournament at the Lawson Center. The Volleyball team has had varying levels of success for most of the season but as the season has come to a close a winning streak gives FAMU faithful a ton of hope.
We could be facing a Loser leaves town without a job situation this weekend.

FAMU went on the road to Huntsville, Alabama and kept up a winning streak against Alabama A&M University which has withstood a notable test of time.
The game had its evs and flow but the outcome while in questions ended up benefitting the people in Orange and Green.
It was another game that had a positive outcome, that also put on display the many frustrations that have had supporters questioning how the successes of the program were truly reached.
The football team will get the majority of your attention, but the weekend as a whole was fairly successful.
The Volleyball team was able to get two wins this week and finish the season on a winning streak.
Also FAMU Women’s Basketball took it on the chin in another loss.
Fall sports are winding down and its the pettiest time of the year for many FAMUans.

FAMU football is traveling to play Alabama A&M and we need to see how the team will potentially fare against another bottom feeder of the SWAC.
While the Women’s basketball team prepares for the Home opener of the regular season. While the Men bounce back from loss to UCF.

The goals for the 2025 season are all but shot, but having a Six or Seven win season would make any decisions to make adjustments to the staff very difficult.
While the football team has nothing in front of them the Basketball team is beginning the season with expected losses that are still not acceptable for various reasons.
The 24 Hour rule is definitely in effect as we enjoy a FAMU victory.

The Night after Halloween saw FAMU football produce a scary product.
A first half that featured many missed opportunities was followed by a second half that was nothing less than an abject disaster.
Once again we saw that this version of FAMU football is not destined to be one of the Top football teams in the South Western Conference.
With four games left in the season, many are ready to turn the page on a football season that instead of being a dream has proven to be a nightmare.
