**In this Episode: This sample case is will start your journey to read Case Law in YOUR State. Reading Case Law was a major reason I won my custody case. When I read other family court cases, I learned my judge wasn't following instructions from higher State Courts on how to make custody decisions. My judge was rubberstamping the mom. Reading case law, I started to think, speak, and write like an Appellate Court judge on family law. I then operated in the courtroom at a level far above my judge. It also helped me crush the opposing lawyer during my cross-examination.
