She is the author of Light Spill (Block Party Press 2023), a chapbook inspired by Physic's imagination. In 2023, Laura was a finalist of the QWF's carte blanche Prize. She is currently painting creatures on thrifted garments at No Fiction Projects.

Classically trained pianist, born and raised in Tehran, Iran, currently based in Toronto. Having started her piano studies at 9, Paria developed a passion for music. She completed her diploma after 6 years of academic music education and later received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Piano Performance from Tehran University. Numerous Musicians and Pianists have trained her in Classical, Jazz, and Contemporary styles of music. She has also gained various experiences in different professions in the music industry after completing her education in Arts Management, in Toronto. Paria is passionate about Classical music pedagogy, specifically music education for students with special needs. She has worked with Psychotherapists and Music Therapists to further her experience in that field.
