Brad Dalke and Ryan Lavner joined today’s show with host Gary Williams. Dalke is part of Good Good Golf and he talked about how he got into YouTube golf and how much fun he is having again. He also talked about some of the players he played with that he knew would become top players in Sam Burns and Scottie Scheffler. Finally Dalke talked about how he is excited to be a part of the renewed Big Break show. Lavner follows the golf stories throughout the year and talked about Rory McIlroy’s win at the Masters, the Ryder Cup “moment”, Scheffler and the big year he expects from Jon Rahm.

LPGA Commissioner Craig Kessler and Grant Boone joined today’s show with host Gary Williams. Boone led it off and shared news on a new collegiate event being hosted by Abilene Christian that has top programs across the country participating, how some top players are now going to and staying in college to refine their games, the rise from the Japanese players, the year from Nelly Korda and how Jeeno Thitikul bounced back from a devastating loss. Kessler talked about private equity in sports, how the LPGA is laser focused on the fans, his stance on team events, the three things that matter most for the tour, developing the right schedule and the keys to leadership.

Darren Clarke & Tom Coyne joined today’s show with host Gary Williams. Clarke discussed the icon Bernhard Langer, why the European Ryder Cup team is so good, that amateurs take too long over the ball, Tiger’s ball-striking display on the range one day, where Rory McIlroy is among the top Europeans and fielded five questions to go. Coyne, an author and editor of The Golfer’s Journal, talked about their new book, “Quiet, Please”, the quality that their membership expects, the influx of celebrity influence into golf and how it has brought new eyeballs and his most recent work, “A Course Called Home”.

Mike Weir joined today’s show with host Gary Williams. Weir talked about being a captain for the upcoming Skechers World Champions Cup, how he tried to bring the Presidents Cup team together culturally, how he grew up with a chip on his shoulder and a hockey mentality, how often he wore his Green Jacket and what is next for the Champions Tour.

Xander Schauffele joined today’s show with host Gary Williams. Among the topics of discussion were his new life as a dad, the upcoming Skins game he will participate in the day after Thanksgiving, how being in tight spots has led to confidence, his play at the Ryder Cup giving him a boost; what USA golf may look like post Ryder Cup and some of his favorite and least favorite Thanksgiving Day foods.

Justin Parsons & Chris Como joined the program today to wrap up our Teachers Week. Como discussed the evolution of training in golf and it’s not just a few guys, it’s all of them or they are losing to the field. He also talked about chasing speed for professionally and for recreational golfers. Finally, he talked about his relationship with Xander Schauffele. Parsons talked about Butch Harmon and his belief to instill confidence in his players, the greats all possess the aptitude to learn, his relationship teaching Xander Schauffele and what makes him so good and working with Aldrich Potgieter and not messing up his speed.

Mark Blackburn & Michael Breed joined the program today.  Blackburn talked about how being a player helped him as a coach; how he builds up his players in part by framing the persistent data and how he is motivated to get players to raise their ceilings. Breed feels golfers need to be athletes as that is the foundation that gives them belief. He also feels golfers need movement and the difference in the 2-D and 3-D environment, speed as a difference maker and what separates the Harmon’s.

Jim Furyk, Erika Larkin & Jason Baile joined the program today. Furyk will be a big part of the upcoming Sketchers World Champions Cup, and he talked about that event and what makes it great. He also discussed his role in the team events over the years, playing with Tiger and what the older generation of golfers still does best. Baile coaches and teaches some of the best players and talked about setting goals, how to use technology and making players accountable so they could frame their process. Larkin talked about how she got started in the game both from a playing and teaching perspective, some of the fundamentals she teaches and how to eliminate the steering of the club.

Davis Love III and Josh Carpenter joined Gary Williams on today’s show. Love III talked about the RSM at Sea Island how so many players will be playing for their jobs and that makes for entertaining golf; his thoughts on Scottie Scheffler; what took place at the Ryder Cup; his favorite golf courses for design and much more. Carpenter, who covers the game from the business side, discussed the fall season, how much longer the tour may start in Hawaii, what LIV might do next, decisions being made on the women’s side and the Golf Channel games. The show ended with picks for the DP World Championship and the golf dogs of the week.

Matt Every and Tim Barter joined Gary Williams on today’s show. Every was up first and talked about what he has learned about the tour since leaving it as a player; what he doesn’t love about analytics, his fandom of Ben Griffin and that he feels there needs to be a penalty for playing bad golf and favors a cut no matter the event. Barter talked about Rory McIlroy’s chase for a 7th Order of Merit that could culminate in Dubai this weekend; his thoughts on Tommy Fleetwood moving to an elite level; his love and appreciation of Justin Rose; the play of Bob McIntyre and if Luke Donald will pursue a third consecutive Ryder Cup captaincy.

Taylor Zarzour joined Gary Williams in studio today. The two talked about the PGA TOUR’s top assets, whose year they’d rather have between Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, the recent news out of LIV golf, if January will see a reduction of professional golf, who their futures bets in the game are and more. The show also included the most recent golf dogs of the week.

Justin Leonard and Nick Dougherty joined today’s show. Dougherty talked about his journey and belief system as a top amateur, why Europe has so much depth at the top of the game due to the college platform so many play on; the year ahead for Tommy Fleetwood, Tyrrell Hatton and Robert McIntyre, the DP World Tour and more. Leonard talked about his career and how he never wanted to compare himself to others, how comparison is the thief of joy, deciding to return to the professional game, what he had to work on when he decided to return and more.

Gabby Herzig & Will Haskett joined the show and host Gary Williams. Herzig talked about the start of the season with the Sentry being cancelled and the impact it might have. She also discussed some of the initial hires that new PGA TOUR CEO Brian Rolapp has made to start his tenure, thoughts on Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, the year of Justin Rose and the future of Tiger Woods. Haskett talked about the change on the horizon but also what has worked this past year; the future contraction and churn on tour and discussed whether Scheffler could post a +3 strokes gained on the tour over the course of the season.

John Cook and Brentley Romine joined host Gary Williams during today’s show. Romine led it off to talk about the East Lake Cup featuring some of the top collegiate men’s and women’s golf programs in the country and he talked about the finals of Northwestern vs. Oregon on the women’s side and Virginia and Florida on the men’s side as well as his current top 5 men’s teams. Cook talked about his career and the college players of today. He also gave advice to parents that have elite level kids and also talked about how getting out on the course and playing holes is the ultimate data point. We concluded the show with our golf dogs of the week.

Johnson Wagner and Brendon de Jonge joined host Gary Williams in studio for the full show. They discussed the impact on the Sony Open with the cancellation of The Sentry, changes in the TOUR schedule, should the PGA of America sell the Ryder Cup to the PGA TOUR, who the next American captain should be profile-wise; Michael Brennan, players to pop in 2026 and more.

Ron Green Jr. joined host Gary Williams in studio to discuss the Ryder Cup one month out and what his biggest takeaways were both positive and negative. They discussed Keegan Bradley’s Ryder Cup future, the arrival of Tommy Fleetwood as a star, Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods and more. 

Golf course designers Rob Collins and Gil Hanse joined host Gary Williams for the final day of “Design Week” on Golf Channel. Collins announced he will be starting a new project in Kohler (Purebred Farm Course), touched on his projects at Bounty Club, Royal Dornoch, Tasmania and The Ambush. Hanse touched on the restoration work he and his team are doing at Seminole as well as updates on projects at Ladera, Childress Hall, High Grove and Spanish Bay. The show ended with the latest edition of golf dogs of the week.

Golf course designer Tyler Rae joined host Gary Williams in studio for Day 2 of “Design Week” on Golf Channel. Rae talked about the renovation they are doing at Detroit Golf Club, home of the Rocket Classic, Ansley Golf Club outside Atlanta, the mentality of trying to get into each club and only that club when working on a project, the balance in presenting change to a course, thoughts on St. Louis Golf Club, Mountain Lake, his favorite bunkering courses and green complexes around the world.  

Golf course designer Andrew Green joined host Gary Williams in studio today to kick off “Design Week”. They talked about the weight of changing and renovating a course that people and members have such fond memories of; his perspective on the magnitude of the view at a course in terms of what is ahead and what is behind; his work at Scioto Country Club and an update on his work at Charlotte Country Club.

Hope Barnett and Andrew Coltart joined the show today. Barnett, who covers the LPGA, talked about the parity on the LPGA this year, how Jeeno Thitikul ascended to #1 in the world, the boxes checked and what’s next for Lydia Ko, the future of Lexi Thompson and the year for Nelly Korda. Coltart talked about Rory McIlroy being Europe’s all-time best, could Luke Donald be the Ryder Cup captain for two more terms, what stood out to him from the Ryder Cup and the form of many of the LIV players when they play the DP World Tour. We closed the show with our picks for the Baycurrent Classic and unveiled our golf dogs of the week.
