Story Transcript:

En: On a sunny autumn morning, golden tree leaves covered the hills near Amman, where the air was cool and the scent of the earth washed with dew filled the place.

En: This day was special for Ziad and his friends, as they were on a school trip to an ancient archaeological site.

En: Ziad is thirteen years old, a boy full of curiosity and fond of history.

En: He hopes to find a link between the past and the present in this place.

En: Beside him was Leila, his close friend, always enthusiastic and supportive of him.

En: There was also Samir, their friend known for his caution and realistic outlook.

En: Everyone was getting ready for exploration.

En: But the site was crowded with many school groups, making it difficult for Ziad to concentrate.

En: He began to doubt his quest; would he really find something of value?

En: Ziad decided to take a quieter path away from the noise.

En: As he walked, he noticed fallen leaves covering something slightly protruding from the ground.

En: He began to uncover the leaves to find an ancient engraving.

En: It felt as if history whispered in his ear a story connecting him from the depths of time to the present.

En: Ziad felt something move within him, a sense of belonging and pride.

En: Ziad returned to Leila and Samir with excitement, sharing his discovery.

En: His eyes shined with joy as he narrated what he had found to them.

En: The three friends contemplated the past and how their history forms their identity and daily lives.

En: By the end of the day, Ziad learned that history is not just pages in a book.

En: It is alive, breathing in this vast world.

En: He left the archaeological site more confident and believing that his pursuit of knowledge and connection with the past is something precious and possible.
