Nl: De herfstbladeren ritselden zachtjes op de kasseien van Amsterdam.
En: The autumn leaves rustled softly on the cobblestones of Amsterdam.

Nl: Het was een gure dag, typisch voor deze tijd van het jaar.
En: It was a chilly day, typical for this time of year.

Nl: Sinterklaas was dichtbij, en overal in de stad voelde je de opwinding stijgen.
En: Sinterklaas was near, and everywhere in the city, you could feel excitement rising.

Nl: Maar in het Anne Frank Huis heerste een andere soort spanning.
En: But in the Anne Frank Huis, a different kind of tension prevailed.

Nl: Sven betrad het museum met een lichte frons op zijn voorhoofd.
En: Sven entered the museum with a slight frown on his forehead.

Nl: Hij was dol op geschiedenis, maar zijn nieuwsgierigheid werd vaak vergezeld door een lichte nervositeit.
En: He loved history, but his curiosity was often accompanied by slight nervousness.

Nl: Naast hem stond Maartje, een bruisende verschijning, die de groep bezoekers met enthousiasme welkom heette.
