No: Sindre stod ved vinduet i Oslo og så på snøen som dalte sakte nedover.
En: Sindre stood by the window in Oslo and watched the snow falling slowly.

No: Hver snøfnugg strålte i lyset fra de mange julelysene som pyntet byen.
En: Each snowflake sparkled in the light from the many Christmas lights decorating the city.

No: Han tenkte på Kari, som var mange mil unna i New York.
En: He thought of Kari, who was many miles away in New York.

No: Tanken på å overraske henne på nyttårsaften fikk hjertet til å banke raskere.
En: The thought of surprising her on New Year's Eve made his heart beat faster.

No: Han hadde planlagt det lenge.
En: He had been planning it for a long time.

No: Sindre ringte Emil.
En: Sindre called Emil.

No: "Jeg drar til New York," sa han, full av forventning.
