En: It was a clear and crisp autumn day when Sigrid stood at the large window of the family home and watched leaves swirling in the wind.

No: Huset, varm og invitert med sine høstdekorasjoner, skulle snart fylles av familiemedlemmer som kom for å feire Martinmas.
En: The house, warm and inviting with its autumn decorations, would soon be filled with family members coming to celebrate Martinmas.

No: Det var en viktig anledning for Sigrid; denne festen skulle dedikeres til hennes kjære bestemor Astrid, hvis helse ble stadig svakere.
