Ru: Поздняя осень укутала кампус в разноцветные листья.
En: Late autumn wrapped the campus in multicolored leaves.

Ru: Юрий, первокурсник из России, сидел в своей комнате общежития, потягивая горячий чай.
En: Yuriy, a freshman from Rossii, sat in his dorm room, sipping hot tea.

Ru: Он думал о том, как его семья в России будет праздновать осенние праздники.
En: He thought about how his family in Rossii would celebrate the autumn holidays.

Ru: День благодарения — совсем не знакомый для него праздник, и от этого становилось еще более тоскливо.
En: Thanksgiving was a completely unfamiliar holiday to him, and it made him feel even more melancholic.

Ru: В соседней комнате слышался шум.
En: There was noise coming from the neighboring room.

Ru: Это были Аня и Михаил, его друзья, вместе с которыми Юрий был знаком с первых дней в колледже.
En: It was Anya and Mikhail, his friends, whom he had known since the first days of college.

Ru: Они готовились к "Дружеблагодарению" — так они называли свой ужин, когда собирались все друзья, чтобы отметить праздник по-своему.
En: They were preparing for "Druzheblagodarenie" — that's what they called their dinner when all the friends gathered to celebrate the holiday in their own way.

Ru: Юрий колебался, не зная, стоит ли ему присоединяться.
En: Yuriy hesitated, not knowing if he should join.

Ru: Тем не менее, зов дружбы взял верх.
En: Nevertheless, the call of friendship prevailed.

Ru: Юрий решил, что хочет почувствовать принадлежность к новой компании.
En: Yuriy decided that he wanted to feel a sense of belonging with the new company.

Ru: Он поднялся и вошел в общую комнату общежития.
En: He got up and entered the dormitory's common room.

Ru: Комната была тепло освещена гирляндами, а воздух наполнял аромат тыквенного пирога и других блюд из разных культур, которые приготовили студенты.
En: The room was warmly lit with garlands, and the air was filled with the aroma of pumpkin pie and other dishes from different cultures prepared by the students.
