Story Transcript:

En: On a golden autumn day, Oksana was standing in the middle of a vast sunflower field that stretched out near the village of Pyrohiv, not far from Kyiv.

En: The sun's rays gently warmed her face, and a light breeze rustled the leaves around her.

En: This was her favorite place—quiet and cozy, just like the village itself.

En: This year, the village decided to organize a contest for the best scarecrow – a fun festival for the entire community.

En: Oksana, always full of ideas and imagination, decided to participate, dreaming of being recognized as the most creative artist in the village.

En: But she encountered an unexpected obstacle: all the pumpkins had become too soft due to the unseasonably warm autumn, making them unsuitable for carving.

En: Oksana stood on the road, wiping sweat from her forehead.

En: She needed to find a new approach.

En: She climbed up to the attic of her grandfather's house, where she found old clothes—shirts, long coats, even a single boot.

En: She realized these items could serve as the foundation for her scarecrow.

En: When Sunday came, and all the villagers gathered, the creative works stood in a row.

En: Oksana's scarecrow looked a bit odd next to the others—in a sarafan, with a hat made from a light bulb, and a jug instead of a head.

En: Yet, it had a certain charm that drew everyone's attention.

En: "Look at that wonder!"

En: Bohdan whispered to his brother Yuriy.

En: Yuriy nodded in response, smiling.

En: When it came time to announce the winners, they were asked to showcase their works.

En: And then, to everyone's laughter, Oksana's creation suddenly fell over, revealing its amusing insides: pots, old socks, even some newspapers!

En: Everyone laughed, the judges did too.

Uk: "Оксана, ти...
