Bg: София беше обгърната в празничен шум.
En: Sofia was wrapped in festive noise.

Bg: Новогодишния ден беше студен, а улиците крещяха от разноцветни светлини.
En: The New Year's day was cold, and the streets were shouting with colorful lights.

Bg: Виктор се бе озовал сред множеството хора на централния площад, когато забеляза нещо необичайно.
En: Viktor found himself among the multitude of people in the central square when he noticed something unusual.

Bg: Тълпата танцуваше и се смееше, но Виктор видя как мъж с тъмни очи и бързи ръце плъзна портмоне от дамска чанта.
En: The crowd was dancing and laughing, but Viktor saw a man with dark eyes and quick hands slide a wallet from a woman's purse.

Bg: Виктор не знаеше какво да направи първоначално, но после реши да съобщи за кражбата в централното полицейско управление.
En: Viktor didn't know what to do at first, but then he decided to report the theft at the central police station.

Bg: Там беше много шумно и хаотно.
En: It was very noisy and chaotic there.

Bg: Чиновете и бюрата бяха отрупани с документи, а старият часовник на стената показваше как времето забързано минаваше.
En: The desks and tables were piled with documents, and the old clock on the wall showed how quickly time was passing.

Bg: Изморени полицаи се опитваха да поддържат реда.
En: Tired police officers were trying to maintain order.

Bg: Виктор застана пред масата и настоятелно поиска да разговаря с някого.
En: Viktor stood in front of the desk and insistently asked to speak with someone.

Bg: В този момент, зад бюрото, се появи човек, когото познаваше отдавна.

Bg: Това беше Марина – негово детско приятелче и настоящ полицейски служител.
