Story Transcript:

En: On the early autumn morning, the sun hurried to escape from behind the clouds, which approached with the promise of rain.

En: In the large family home, surrounded by orchards, everything was being prepared for the annual harvest and preparation festival.

En: This year was special.

En: Not only because it was Dia de los Muertos, but also because Radoslav's sister, Mila, had returned from traveling the world with fresh ideas.

En: Radoslav, the head of the family, sat on the veranda, watching the family gather in the courtyard.

En: They were lighting fires and setting tables.

En: It was important to him that everything went according to tradition.

En: He wanted to pass the customs on to the next generation.

En: Mila, with Anelia, Radoslav's daughter, entered the garden with enthusiasm.

En: She was full of stories and new ways of celebrating.

En: Her ideas included using autumn art and short performances, including thematic masks, which disturbed the traditional spirit of the celebration.

En: "Today is an important day," warned Radoslav with a smile but also with restraint in his voice, "We must come together and honor the bounty of our nature."

En: Mila replied, "But what if we add a bit more atmosphere? A little music, a little art?"

En: Anelia stood between the two.

En: She was torn between wanting to follow her aunt's ideas and respecting her father.

En: As the discussions unfolded and the clash between the old and the new continued, the sky began to darken.

En: Heavy raindrops fell on the fruit, still uncollected.

En: Panic overtook the courtyard.

En: They had to act quickly to save the harvest.
