Story Transcript:

En: The sky over Jakarta dimmed, as if it were sinking into the city's collapse.

En: The rumble of debris could be heard from afar, serving as a reminder that no part of the city was safe.

En: Underground, in the dark tunnels of the flooded MRT system, three figures moved cautiously: Adi, Sari, and Budi.

Id: “Cepat, kita harus mencapai tempat aman sebelum malam tiba,” desis Adi, berusaha menunjukkan semangat meski tubuhnya mulai lelah.
En: "Hurry, we must reach a safe place before night falls," Adi whispered, trying to show enthusiasm despite his body growing tired.

Id: Tangannya menggenggam obor kecil, satu-satunya sumber cahaya mereka.
En: His hand clutched a small torch, their only source of light.

Id: Air dingin mencapai lutut, membuat setiap langkah terasa berat.
En: The cold water reached their knees, making every step feel heavy.

En: Sari, with her tangled long hair, followed closely behind Adi.

En: Her eyes continuously scanned the tunnel walls, wary of lurking dangers.

En: Budi, the smallest of them, held on tightly to a nearly empty bag.

Id: Persediaan mereka semakin menipis.
En: Their supplies were dwindling.

En: These MRT tunnels used to be bustling and full of life.

En: But now, only remnants of the past remained.

En: Folded train tracks and hanging cables turned this path into a labyrinth full of traps.

En: A choice awaited them: take the direct but dangerous route or the longer but safer detour.

En: Adi thought of the promise he made—to keep Sari and Budi alive until they found a safe place.

Id: Dia harus memutuskan.
En: He had to decide.

Id: "Ikut aku," kata Adi akhirnya.
En: "Follow me," Adi said finally.

En: He led them to the path that appeared safest, even though he knew they would face uncertain time and fate.

En: They turned and walked deeper until they encountered deeper waters, slowing their steps.

Id: Saat mereka terus maju, tiba-tiba terdengar suara.
En: As they continued, a sound suddenly emerged.

Id: Sekumpulan penjaneat menghadang jalan mereka.
