Story Transcript:

Ga: Bhí trácht na Nollag ag lonrú ar Chósta Amalfi, le soilse gealbhána ag damhsa sa ghrian ag dul faoi.
En: Christmas traffic was shining on the Amalfi Coast, with bright-white lights dancing in the setting sun.

Ga: Bhí an fharraige ag lonrach mar scáthán faoi na réaltaí a bhí le feiceáil go soiléir sa spéir.
En: The sea was sparkling like a mirror under the stars visible in the sky.

Ga: Ba í an Nollaig, agus bhí Eamon ar bís faoin turas seo.
En: It was Christmas, and Eamon was excited about the trip.

Ga: Bhí sé ag tnúth le fíorbhlaiseadh d’ealaín na hiodáile.
En: He was looking forward to a true taste of Italian art.

Ga: Bhí Siobhan, a chara is fearr, leis.
En: Siobhan, his best friend, was with him.

Ga: Bhí sí i gcónaí aireach ar a bhí ag tarlú timpeall orthu.
En: She was always attentive to what was happening around them.

Ga: Bhí an dara súil aici ar gach rud.
En: She had a keen eye on everything.

Ga: In éineacht leo, bhí Niamh, cócaire áitiúil, a bhí bródúil as a cuid cruthaitheachtaí cócaireachta.
En: Accompanying them was Niamh, a local cook, proud of her culinary creations.

Ga: Rinne sí cinnte go raibh na miasa a sholáthraíonn sí lán de dhathanna agus blaiseadh iontach maith.
En: She ensured that the dishes she provided were full of colors and tasted wonderfully good.

Ga: An oíche sin, shuigh siad ag bord álainn taobh le fuinneog mhór.
En: That night, they sat at a beautiful table by a large window.

Ga: Bhí amharc acu ar na tonnta a bhí ag bualadh cois cladaigh.
En: They had a view of the waves crashing against the shore.

Ga: Sheirbheáil Niamh béile speisialta Nollag ar Eamon agus Siobhan.
En: Niamh served a special Christmas meal to Eamon and Siobhan.

Ga: Níorbh fhada go raibh Eamon caite le iontas na miasa éagsúla agus bhí gach reoiteog le glasraí agus iasc breá úr.
En: It wasn't long before Eamon was amazed by the various dishes, and each delicacy was full of vegetables and fresh fish.

Ga: Ach tar éis an bhéile, bhraith Eamon rud aisteach.
En: But after the meal, Eamon felt something strange.

Ga: D’éirigh a chuid análaithe níos deacra agus tháinig spotaí dearga ar a chraiceann.
En: His breathing became more difficult and red spots appeared on his skin.

Ga: Níor thuig sé ar dtús an raibh sé dáiríre nó nach raibh.
En: He didn’t understand at first if it was serious or not.

Ga: Bhí eagla mór air.
En: He was very frightened.

Ga: Bhí Siobhan ag faire air agus chonaic sí nach raibh gach rud in ord.
En: Siobhan was watching him and saw that not everything was in order.

Ga: “Caithfimid gníomhú anois!” ar seisean, a fhios aici go raibh gá le cúnamh.
En: “We must act now!” he said, knowing that help was needed.

Ga: Ag an nóiméad sin, tháinig Niamh ar ais chun iad.
En: At that moment, Niamh returned to them.

Ga: “Cad atá ag tarlú?” a d’fhiafraigh sí le háthas a athrú go himní.
En: “What is happening?” she asked, her joy turning to concern.

Ga: “Tá Eamon ag fáil frithghníomh ailléirgeach!” arsa Siobhan go sciobtha.
En: “Eamon is having an allergic reaction!” said Siobhan quickly.

Ga: Thóg Niamh orthu go dtí an dochtúir áitiúil, ag brostú trí na sráideanna údaim go tapa.
En: Niamh took them to the local doctor, hurrying swiftly through the tangled streets.
