Story Transcript:

Ga: San am an Fhómhair, bhí Aoife ag ullmhú a teach beag compordach don Lá Buidheachais.
En: In the fall, Aoife was preparing her cozy little house for Thanksgiving.

Ga: Thaitin léi an séasúr seo lena duilleoga oráisteacha ag clúdach na sráideanna sa bruachbhaile nua-aimseartha ina raibh sí ina cónaí.
En: She loved this season with its orange leaves covering the streets in the modern suburb where she lived.

Ga: Chuir sí maisiúcháin fhómhair ar fud an tí, boladh na spíosraí ag teacht ón gcistin.
En: She put fall decorations all over the house, with the smell of spices coming from the kitchen.

Ga: Bhí Aoife ag súil go mór le dinnéar a eagrú dá cairde, Niall agus Siobhan, ach bhí ana-dheacracht aici.
En: Aoife was really looking forward to organizing a dinner for her friends, Niall and Siobhan, but she had a real problem.

Ga: Bhí an bosca ceoil luachmhar, bronntanas óna seanmháthair, imithe as a radharc.
En: Her precious music box, a gift from her grandmother, had disappeared from sight.

Ga: Bhí ionadh agus náire uirthi.
En: She felt surprised and embarrassed.

Ga: Bhí an bosca ceoil cosúil le píosa de na cuimhní agus an grá a bhí aici dá seanmháthair.
En: The music box was like a piece of the memories and love she had for her grandmother.

Ga: Thosaigh Aoife ar thuras imscrúdaithe.
En: Aoife began an investigative journey.

Ga: Chuir sí ceist ar Niall agus Siobhan, cé a bhí ag cabhrú léi leis na réamhchóirithe. "An bhfaca sibh mo bhosca ceoil in aon áit?" a d'fhiafraigh sí le dóchas ina súile.
En: She asked Niall and Siobhan, who were helping her with the preparations, "Have you seen my music box anywhere?" she asked with hope in her eyes.

Ga: Ach bhí orthu crúinnithe agus freagraí a sholáthar, gan clú aigeann ar an rud beag luachmhar seo.
En: But they had meetings to attend and had to provide answers, without any clue about this little valuable thing.

Ga: Agus na cuimhní dá baint suaimhneas uaithí, rinne Aoife a machnamh ar cad a tharla go sonrach le déanaí.
En: With memories taking peace away from her, Aoife reflected on what had specifically happened recently.

Ga: Bhí cúnamh na cairde ag tabhairt sólás di toisc iad bheith dílis, ach go fóill bhí an éiginnteacht buartha.
En: The help of her friends was comforting since they were loyal, but still, the uncertainty was troubling.

Ga: Ag pointe a bhí Aoife glan ar dearmad, rinne sí iarracht na céimeanna le gairid a athmhachnamh.
En: At a point when Aoife had almost forgotten, she tried to rethink her recent steps.

Ga: Bhí tuiscint studioithe aici agus nuáil thiarna tuilte, gur éirigh sí as féin beagán le linn glanadh agus chuir an bosca ceoil isteach ar sheilf nach mbíonn sí ann de ghnáth.
En: She had a studied intuition and well-deserved innovation, realizing she got a bit ahead of herself during cleaning and had put the music box on a shelf she didn't usually use.

Ga: Rith sí go dtí an áit sin agus, gan mhoill, fuair sí é socraithe ar a paréid idir leabhair!
En: She ran to that spot and, without delay, found it settled on a ledge between books!

Ga: Bhí faoiseamh ann.
En: There was relief.

Ga: Thit sí a gcreidiúint go bhfomhánfadh a gcuimhní díl i gcónaí agus go mbreathnódh sí níos mó i dtreo an lae inniu.
En: She fell back on her belief that her precious memories would always last and decided to focus more on the present.

Ga: Nuair a...
