Story Transcript:

Ga: Bhí séasúr an fhómhair tagtha go Glendalough agus bhí dathanna an bhrait óir agus glas le feiceáil ar fud an ghleanna.
En: The autumn season had arrived in Glendalough and the colors of the golden and green tapestry were visible all over the valley.

Ga: Bhí an áit ciúin agus cumhachdúil, leis an ghaoth ag séideadh go bog trí na crainn ársa.
En: The place was quiet and powerful, with the wind gently blowing through the ancient trees.

Ga: Is amhlaidh a mheall an radharc álainn Siobhán, Róisín, agus Cormac amach ar thuras fánaíochta don lá.
En: The beautiful scenery enticed Siobhán, Róisín, and Cormac out on a hiking trip for the day.

Ga: Bhí an triúr ag siúl faiche idir na sléibhte.
En: The three of them were walking on a meadow between the mountains.

Ga: Bhí Siobhán ag tnúth go mór leis an lá mar bhí sí ag iarraidh an turas a dhéanamh speisialta.
En: Siobhán was greatly looking forward to the day because she wanted to make the trip special.

Ga: Mar sin féin, bhí imní mhór uirthi mar cheap sí go mbeadh gach rud ag brath uirthi.
En: However, she was very anxious because she thought everything would depend on her.

Ga: D’fhéach Cormac ar an treo eile, sásta a bheith le cairde, cé go raibh a lán airde ag teastáil uaidh chun a asma a bhainistiú.
En: Cormac looked in the other direction, happy to be with friends, though he needed a lot of focus to manage his asthma.

Ga: Bhí Róisín i gcónaí lán de fhuinneamh, ag moladh na radharcanna agus ag spreagadh gach duine lena guth geal.
En: Róisín was always full of energy, praising the views and encouraging everyone with her bright voice.

Ga: Ach ansin, tharla rud nár cheap siad riamh mar tharlódh sé.
En: But then, something happened that they never thought would occur.

Ga: I lár an tslí chuig radharc iontach, thosaigh Cormac ag streachailt lena hanálú.
En: In the middle of the path to a beautiful view, Cormac began to struggle with his breathing.

Ga: Deimhnithe ag an imní, chrom sé síos, ábalta go éigin air a anál a fháil.
En: Overcome with anxiety, he bent down, barely able to catch his breath.

Ga: Chuir an t-áthas a bhí ar Siobhán ar shiúl go tobann cé go raibh an scéal tromchúiseach.
En: The joy that Siobhán had was suddenly swept away as the situation became serious.

Ga: Bhí cinneadh práinneach ag teastáil uathu.
En: They needed to make an urgent decision.

Ga: D’fhan Siobhán socair cé gur bhuail timpiste na freagarthaí uirthi.
En: Siobhán stayed calm even though the impact of the situation struck her.

Ga: Bhí a fhios aici gurb í a saineolas san gcéadchabhair faoin aer a chuirfeadh Cormac ar ais go dtí cúrsa slán, mar sin chinn sí iarracht a dhéanamh cabhrú leis ansin is ansiúd.
En: She knew it was her expertise in first aid outdoors that would bring Cormac back to safety, so she decided to try and help him then and there.

Ga: Idir an dá linn, choinnigh Róisín lámh Cormaic go daingean, á thabhairt sólás dó agus moladh dhílis.
En: Meanwhile, Róisín held Cormac's hand tightly, providing him comfort and sincere encouragement.

Ga: D’fhan sí dílis mar bhí sí ag iarraidh a bheith ina taobh i gcónaí, mar fhreagracht.
En: She remained loyal because she wanted to always be by his side, as a responsibility.

Ga: Bhí siad ag gníomhú gan scaoileadh leis an am arb ionann gníomh ar bith a chuimsigh a gcumas.
En: They were acting without delay...
