Story Transcript:

Ga: Bhí ceo éadrom ag clúdach Aillte an Mhothair, áit iontach le linn titim an fhomhair.
En: A light mist was covering Aillte an Mhothair, a wonderful place during the fall.

Ga: Ba dheacair íomhá níos draíochtúla a shamhlú.
En: It would be hard to imagine a more magical image.

Ga: Bhí Cian ag siúl go mall ar an gcosán, ag breathnú amach ar na toinn ghéar a bhí ag bualadh faoi bhun na n-aillte.
En: Cian was walking slowly on the path, looking out at the sharp waves crashing below the cliffs.

Ga: Bhí croí Cian trom, áfach.
En: Cian's heart was heavy, however.

Ga: Bhí sé ag tóraíocht faoisimh ón gcaillteanas a bhraith sé go doimhin.
En: He was seeking relief from the loss he felt deeply.

Ga: Ar an taobh eile den chosán, bhí Aoife ann.
En: On the other side of the path was Aoife.

Ga: Bhí sí ag soilsiú le díograis agus ag glacadh grianghraif, ag iarraidh dathanna na haimsire a chur i gcuimhne.
En: She was glowing with enthusiasm and taking photographs, trying to capture the colors of the weather.

Ga: Bhí sí ag lorg an íomhá ceart a thabharfadh léiriú do bheith ina h-ealaíontóir.
En: She was searching for the right image that would express her as an artist.

Ga: Chuir a bhealach é Cian i dtreo Aoife, cé go raibh a aigne socair ar uaigneas.
En: Cian's path led him towards Aoife, though his mind was set on solitude.

Ga: Bhuail siad le chéile ar an gcéim chaol ag taobh na haille.
En: They met on the narrow step at the edge of the cliff.

Ga: Atmaisféar callán a bhí ann, na gaoithe ag sraonadh na bhfocal, ach thug siad faoi deara a chéile gan amhras.
En: It was a noisy atmosphere, the wind distorting their words, but they noticed each other without doubt.

Ga: Bhí Aoife ag cur ceist air faoina laethanta saoire, ach bhí Cian ag iarraidh a shíocháin a aimsiú.
En: Aoife was asking him about his holidays, but Cian was trying to find his peace.

Ga: Ach nuair a tháinig an stoirm gan choinne, thug Athair na Síoga seans dóibh.
En: But when the unexpected storm came, Athair na Síoga gave them a chance.

Ga: Bhí orthu dul i bhfoscadh faoi éadach na gcarraige.
En: They had to take shelter under the rock's cover.

Ga: Bhí an geimhreadh go géar sa bhainne gaoithe.
En: The winter was biting in the milk of the wind.

Ga: Bhíodar fágtha, le lán ama agus gan rogha ach labhairt.
En: They were left, with plenty of time and no choice but to talk.

Ga: Dúirt Cian an scéal faoina chaillteanas, agus d'éist Aoife, a súile lán de thuiscint agus comhbhá.
En: Cian told the story of his loss, and Aoife listened, her eyes full of understanding and empathy.

Ga: Ach níorbh amháin gur roinn Cian é féin.
En: But Cian wasn't the only one sharing.

Ga: D'inis Aoife go raibh a fhios aici conas a bhraith sé.
En: Aoife shared that she knew how he felt.

Ga: Rinne sí an chéad taispeántas di féin díreach tar éis a hathar a chailliúint.
En: She had done her first exhibit just after losing her father.

Ga: Bhí ceangal nua ann idir iad, cosúil le filiméid ón nádúr féin.
En: There was a new connection between them, like filaments from nature itself.

Ga: Nuair a d'imigh an stoirm, tháinig an ghrian amach.
En: When the storm passed, the sun came out.

Ga: Thóg Aoife cúpla íomhá, agus ar an nóiméad sin, thuig sí go raibh sí ag iarraidh an caidreamh seo a leanúint.
