Lv: Puteni smagi krita uz zemes, klājot latviešu lauku sētu ziemas mierā.
En: The snow fell heavily to the ground, covering the latviešu lauku sētu in the tranquility of winter.

Lv: Sniega segā slīgstot, Aivars, ar cepuri stingri uzvilktu galvā, stāvēja pāri aizsalušajam dīķim.
En: As the snow cover settled, Aivars, with his hat pulled tightly over his head, stood over the frozen pond.

Lv: Elza un Māra bija blakus, sametot produktus ratiņos.
En: Elza and Māra were beside him, loading goods into the carts.

Lv: Sarma rotāja logus, mājas iekšpusē galdiņi jau bija nolikti, un gaisma sildīja telpu.
En: Frost adorned the windows, the tables inside the house were already set, and the light warmed the room.

Lv: “Jāgatavojas Ziemas saulgriežiem,” Aivars teica, skatoties uz savām meitām.
