Lt: Darius sėdėjo savo palatoje ir žvelgė pro langą.
En: Darius sat in his ward and looked out the window.

Lt: Sniegas krisdavo tyliai, o balkšvos snaigės šoko link žemės.
En: The snow fell silently, and pale snowflakes danced toward the ground.

Lt: Buvo žiema, Naujametė diena, o pati palata buvo išpuošta šventiškai.
En: It was winter, New Year's Day, and the ward itself was festively decorated.

Lt: Spintelėje stovėjo medinės eglutės, kampuose kabojo popierinės snaigės, o šalia stovėjo mažas plastikinis elnias.
En: Wooden Christmas trees stood on the cabinet, paper snowflakes hung in the corners, and a small plastic deer stood nearby.

Lt: Šis elnias Dariusui atrodė ypatingas.
En: This deer seemed special to Darius.

Lt: Darius buvo linksmo būdo.
