Lt: Žiema Kaune buvo gera ir šalta.
En: Winter in Kaunas was nice and cold.

Lt: Santakos parkas nušviestas šventine šviesa.
En: Santakos park was illuminated with festive lights.

Lt: Po Naujųjų metų liepsnų ir fejerverkų nulijo nedidelė sniego pūga, kuri paliko parką baltą ir jaukų.
En: After New Year's fireworks and flames, a small snowstorm swept through, leaving the park white and cozy.

Lt: Jurgis ir Rūta grįžo iš mokyklos ir nusprendė užsukti į parką prisėsti.
En: Jurgis and Rūta returned from school and decided to stop by the park to sit for a while.

Lt: Jie sėdėjo ant suoliuko, apsupto šventinio triukšmo ir žmonių šurmulio.
En: They sat on a bench, surrounded by festive noise and the bustle of people.

Lt: Jurgis laikė savo kuprinę ant suoliuko šalia.
En: Jurgis kept his backpack on the bench next to him.

Lt: Kuprinė buvo svarbi.

Lt: Joje buvo ne tik knygos, bet ir dovanėlė, kurią jis gavo per naujametinius mainus mokykloje.

Lt: „Rūta, gal trumpam užeikime į kavinukę gerti karšto šokolado?“ – pasiūlė Jurgis.
En: “Rūta, maybe we could stop by the café for some hot chocolate?” suggested Jurgis.

Lt: Rūta sutiko, ir jie trumpam pakilo nuo suolelio.
En: Rūta agreed, and they briefly got up from the bench.

Lt: Kai jie grįžo, Jurgis pastebėjo, kad jo kuprinė dingo.
En: When they returned, Jurgis noticed that his backpack was gone.
