Sk: Marek stál na okraji svahu a díval sa na Tatranský vrch.
En: Marek stood on the edge of the slope, looking at the Tatranský vrch.

Sk: Jeseň obarvila stromy do zlatožltého a červeno-hnedého odtieňa.
En: Autumn had colored the trees in shades of golden-yellow and reddish-brown.

Sk: Všade bol chladný a svieži vzduch.
En: The air everywhere was cold and fresh.

Sk: Táto scenéria zrkadlila cestu, na ktorú sa vydala jeho duša.
En: This scenery mirrored the path on which his soul had embarked.

Sk: Desať rokov sa Marek nevidel s rodinou.
En: For ten years, Marek hadn't seen his family.

Sk: Desať rokov plných tichých výčitiek a tichej túžby po zmierení.
En: Ten years filled with silent regrets and a quiet longing for reconciliation.

Sk: A teraz stál tu, na mieste plnom spomienok z detstva, aby sa stretol s Annou, svojou mladšou sestrou, a Jankom, jeho mladším bratom.
En: And now he stood here, in a place full of childhood memories, to meet Anna, his younger sister, and Janko, his younger brother.

Sk: Marek nevedel, čo očakávať.
En: Marek didn't know what to expect.

En: But he hoped for forgiveness.
