Sk: Zuzana sedela pri okne a pozorovala farebné lístie padajúce na zem.
En: Zuzana sat by the window and watched the colorful leaves falling to the ground.
Sk: Bol jesenný deň a suburbánna štvrť voňala po vlhkých listoch a čerstvom vetre.
En: It was an autumn day, and the suburban neighborhood smelled of damp leaves and fresh wind.
Sk: Zuzana však mala starosti.
En: However, Zuzana was worried.
Sk: Jej kocúr Felix bol preč už dva dni.
En: Her tomcat Felix had been missing for two days.
Sk: Myslela naňho stále.
En: She thought about him all the time.
Sk: Ráno začala akosi zvláštne.
En: The morning started off rather strangely.
Sk: Pred domom našla stopy v blate.
En: In front of the house, she found tracks in the mud.

Sk: „Poďme dnu,“ šepol Marek, trochu nesvoj.
En: "Let's go inside," Marek whispered, a bit uneasy.
