En: Lake Bled was like something out of a fairy tale on an autumn morning.
En: The mist gently rose above the lake, colorful leaves rustled in the fresh wind.
Sl: Matjaž je hodil po tržnici.
En: Matjaž was walking through the market.
Sl: Vzdušje okoli njega je bilo veselo, polno vrveža in klepeta trgovcev in obiskovalcev.
En: The atmosphere around him was cheerful, full of the hustle and bustle and chatter of vendors and visitors.
En: It was the day of Martinovanje, a time when grape juice turns into wine.
Sl: A Matjaž ni razmišljal o vinu, temveč o družinskem večerji.
En: But Matjaž wasn't thinking about wine; he was thinking about the family dinner.
En: Matjaž wanted to make a special dinner, exactly like the one his grandmother prepared every year.
Sl: Ampak danes so bile tržnice drugačne.
En: But today, the markets were different.
En: Many stalls were already emptied, including the one that sold geese.
En: Did this mean there would be no dinner with roast goose?
Sl: Na drugi strani tržnice je Matjaž zagledal Anjo in Tomaža.
En: On the other side of the market, Matjaž saw Anja and Tomaž.
En: They told him there was another festival happening in town and that many sellers weren't at their usual spots.
En: Anja suggested an idea: "Why don't you try something new?
En: Look at how many fresh ingredients are available!"
En: Tomaž nodded in agreement: "Matjaž, the important thing is for the family to gather and enjoy."
En: He had two options: take the last goose, which didn't look its best, or turn to new recipes.
Sl: Na zadnji stojnici je zagledal nekaj posebnega: buče, divje gobe in lokalni med.
En: At the last stall, he spotted something special: pumpkins, wild mushrooms, and local honey.
Sl: Njegova babica je imela rada gobe.
En: His grandmother loved mushrooms.
Sl: Morda je bil to znak?
En: Perhaps this was a sign?
En: The decision was not easy to make, but Matjaž felt he had to at least try something new.
Sl: Vzel je sveže lokalne proizvode in se vrnil domov.
