En: His diorama was supposed to depict the Battle of Frigidus, about which he had recently read a lot.

Sl: Matjaž je bil poln idej, a mu je primanjkovalo časa in materialov.
En: Matjaž was full of ideas but lacked time and materials.

Sl: Tanja, njegova starejša sestra, je medtem sedela ob kaminu s skodelico vročega kakava v rokah.
En: Tanja, his older sister, was meanwhile sitting by the fireplace with a cup of hot cocoa in her hands.

Sl: "Bi potreboval pomoč, Matjaž?" ga je vprašala z blagim nasmehom.
En: "Do you need some help, Matjaž?" she asked with a gentle smile.

Sl: Matjaž je za trenutek okleval.
En: Matjaž hesitated for a moment.

En: "I think," he began, initially reluctantly, "that perhaps your help wouldn't hurt."

En: Tanja moved over to the table and immediately understood the situation.

Sl: "Poglejva, kaj imava," je rekla in začela prebirati figure in papir.
En: "Let's see what we have," she said, starting to sort through the figures and paper.

Sl: Skupaj sta delala načrt, kako bo izgledala diorama.
En: Together they planned how the diorama would look.

Sl: Noč je hitro napredovala.
En: The night quickly progressed.

En: Outside, rain gently tapped against the windows.

En: Halfway through the project, an accident happened; one of the figurines toppled over, taking part of the scenery with it.

En: Matjaž sighed, but Tanja simply said, "Don't worry, we can fix that."

En: They joined forces, and soon the diorama was even better than before.

Sl: Matjaž je hodil po tržnici.
En: Matjaž was walking through the market.

En: Tomaž nodded in agreement: "Matjaž, the important thing is for the family to gather and enjoy."

En: He had two options: take the last goose, which didn't look its best, or turn to new recipes.

Sl: Na zadnji stojnici je zagledal nekaj posebnega: buče, divje gobe in lokalni med.
En: At the last stall, he spotted something special: pumpkins, wild mushrooms, and local honey.

Sl: Njegova babica je imela rada gobe.
En: His grandmother loved mushrooms.

Sl: Morda je bil to znak?
En: Perhaps this was a sign?

En: The decision was not easy to make, but Matjaž felt he had to at least try something new.

Sl: Vzel je sveže lokalne proizvode in se vrnil domov.
