Sl: Mesto se je pripravljalo na praznovanje novega leta.
En: The city was preparing to celebrate the New Year.

Sl: Lučke so žarele, ljudje pa so se smehljali ob kuhanem vinu in pečenih kostanjih.
En: Lights were twinkling, and people were smiling over mulled wine and roasted chestnuts.
