Sl: Zrak je bil svež, ko so Jure, Mateja in Nina vstopili v Tivoli Park.
En: The air was fresh as Jure, Mateja, and Nina entered Tivoli Park.

En: The leaves rustled underfoot like a carpet of gold and orange.

En: The family decided to spend the afternoon in the park, which was full of peaceful reflection on All Saints' Day.

Sl: Jure je hodil počasi, tiho opazujoč okolico.
En: Jure walked slowly, quietly observing the surroundings.

En: His gaze stopped on Nina, who was hopping along the path, full of energy.

Sl: Bila je radovedna in želela je vedeti vse o parku, drevesih, življenju.
En: She was curious and wanted to know everything about the park, the trees, life.

En: Mateja walked beside them, but her mind was distant, occupied by her work obligations that weighed on her.

Sl: "Si OK, Mateja?
En: "Are you OK, Mateja?"

Sl: " jo je vprašal Jure.
En: Jure asked her.

En: She smiled slightly, but Jure felt she was far away in her thoughts.

En: "Nina," Jure said as he knelt down to her, "today is a special day.

Sl: Spominjamo se naših prednikov.
En: We remember our ancestors."

Sl: " "Prednikov?
En: "Ancestors?"

Sl: " je vprašala Nina, nekoliko zmedeno.
En: Nina asked, somewhat puzzled.

Sl: "Ja, starih staršev, ki jih nisi nikoli spoznala.
En: "Yes, grandparents you never met.

Sl: Želiš slišati zgodbo?
En: Do you want to hear a story?"

En: Mateja listened, though she glanced at her phone.

En: Jure sat on a bench and invited Nina to sit with him.

Sl: "Ko sem bil tvoje starosti, sem z babico in dedkom hodil v ta park," je začel.
En: "When I was your age, I would come to this park with my grandma and grandpa," he began.

Sl: "Babica mi je vedno pripovedovala zgodbe o našem družinskem drevesu.
En: "Grandma always told me stories about our family tree."

Sl: "Nina ga je pozorno poslušala, njene oči so bile široko odprte.
En: Nina listened intently, her eyes wide open.

Sl: "Kaj je družinsko drevo?
En: "What's a family tree?"

Sl: " "To je simbol.
En: "It's a symbol.

Sl: Povezuje nas s preteklostjo.
En: It connects us to the past.

En: Just like the trees in this park, we have roots too," Jure explained.

Sl: Nina se je namrščila in razmišljala.
En: Nina frowned, thinking.

Sl: "Ali sem jaz del tega drevesa?
En: "Am I part of this tree?"

Sl: ""Seveda," je hitro odgovoril Jure.
En: "Of course," Jure answered quickly.

Sl: "Si posebna veja, ki raste naprej.
