Todd Snider (1966-2025) Todd Snider is not ok... Todd Snider is dead. At the tender young age of just 59 short, well lived years, master tunesmith, storyteller, folksinger, barefoot hippie Todd Daniel Snider passed away at his home in East Nashville, Tennessee, of an undiagnosed case of walking pneumonia aggravated by injuries sustained during an assault on his person in Utah. Snider's medical conditioned worsened after police refused to take him to hospital following the assault, a condition made even worse by a night in jail after Snider protested his conceived premature discharge from hospital. In this episode, we hear from Todd himself, on mortality, songwriting, trying to get it right and how he lived his life Todd is joined by beloved friends and neighbors... Predeceased by both his heroes Jerry Jeff Walker and John Prine, Todd was at one time signed to Prine's Oh Boy Records after initially working for him as a runner while Prine recorded his 1991 album The Missing Years Grammy nominated collaborator and one time ward Aaron Lee Tasjan (one of Sir Elton John's favourites). There's alotta water under the bridge between Tasjan and Todd who enjoyed a near 20 year friendship.
