A major proposal to turn Tovey Cottage into a new conservation and eco-tourism centre. We heard from Architect Nigel Albert Garcia and Senior Environment Officer Stephen Warr.


The Environmental Agency launches its second Christmas Toy Drive, calling for donations after helping 41 families last year. Ryan Asquez and Stephanie Wornal join us soon.


A new Gibraltar children’s book, One Levante Christmas Eve, by Karen Celecia and Zuleika Vallance — with all proceeds going to childhood cancer research.


And a retro Zumba Class packed with 70s, 80s and 90s vibes is coming next Wednesday in support of the GBC Open Day. Organiser Miriam Drury told us more.

He'll be here to talk faith, community, and his mission to help those in need. We'll also be finding out about those long awaited plans for his episcopal ordination on the 7th December.


I'll also be asking him about the 2022 Census results, which revealed those who declared no religion has doubled since 2012.

GBC New CEO, University Grant, Festival of Lights, Rock the Rock

Paula Latin becomes the first woman to become a GBC CEO. With 26 years at the Corporation, including 12 as Head of Television, Paula has been behind many of Gibraltar’s most memorable broadcasts - from election coverage to the annual GBC Open Day. The woman of the moment joined us in the studio. 


The University of Gibraltar has received two major Darwin Plus grants, worth nearly £150,000, to monitor microscopic marine life and restore the rare Orange Cup Coral. We spoke to the University’s Research Development Coordinator Amaia Fernandez, along with Lili Hawkins and Carolin Zofall.


Christmas is around the corner and Gibraltar Cultural Services is getting ready to sparkle. We found out more from Jodie Ferrar Barcio and Giovi Viñales from Gibraltar Cultural Services.


And, a two day music festival at the Ivy this weekend will raise money for the GBC Open Day. We'll be joined by one of the performers, Daniella Naara, who will be treating us to a performance.

Visit Gibraltar Nomination, Tower Discovery, Sports, Ultramarathon, Readathon

Visit Gibraltar has been nominated for Best Tourist Board at the 2026 Globe Travel Awards. We found out more from the Head of the Tourist Board Audisa Rodriguez and Media and Marketing Officer Adriana Lopez. 


An 18th-century defensive tower at Old Willis’s Magazine has been uncovered. Historian Christian Wright, whose team at Wright Tech uncovered the find, explained how it redefines what we know about Gibraltar’s fortifications during the Great Siege.


We got all the latest sporting news from our reporter Jose Marie Ruiz. 


We also heard from Kyrone Watson, the fitness coach preparing for a 50km ultramarathon across the deserts of Morocco to raise funds for PossAbilities.


And from an ultramarathon to a 24 hour readathon: organisers Jessica Durante and Danica Field told us more.

Lincoln Red Imps v HNK Rijeca, UK Youth Parliament, Poppy Day Appeal, Safeguarding, Classical Concert

1) Rowdy scenes at the Lincoln Red Imps and HNK Rijeca match last night - firefighters had to intervene as Croatian fans began misusing flares and fire crackers.

Sports reporters Jose Mari Ruiz and Robin Sheppard Capurro reflect on the game, and round-up other sports news too


2) 16-year-old student, Isabella Azopardi has addressed the UK Youth Parliament at the House of Commons.

A very impressive teenager, Isabella was selected to represent Gibraltar following a recent essay competition.


3) The Poppy Day appeal is launching today. The Chairman of the Gibraltar Branch of the Royal British Legion, Francis Brancato discusses the annual appeal to honour the courage and sacrifice of those who serve.


4) A conference on safeguarding has reflected on how Gibraltar’s agencies work together to protect the most vulnerable in our community.

CEO of the Care Agency and Chairperson of both the Child Protection Committee and the Safeguarding Adults Board, Carlos Banderas, is in the studio. 


5) Classical guitarist Keith Vinnicombe will perform a special concert at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in aid of the GBC Open Day.

The evening will feature timeless works, as well as Vinnicombe’s own original compositions - he plays some live music for us in the studio.

The long-awaited McGrail Inquiry report examining the circumstances behind former Police Commissioner Ian McGrail’s early retirement - has now been completed and will be published in full. We spoke to our News Editor Christine Vasquez.


A milestone moment at GBC: we’ll hear from the outgoing Head of Radio Gibraltar, Ian Daniels, on his final day before retirement.


Plans GibTalks 2026 have been launched - Organiser Julian Felice told us more.


We also found out about a 2,700 kilometres charity run for prostate cancer. Four of the 30 participants were in the studio: James Canepa, Louis Santos, Ryan Ullger and Ethan Cumbo. 


And we had live music from Jesse McLaren, as the singer-songwriter has just released two new songs, with another track due out in December.

We spoke about Parliament with our News Editor Christine Vasquez, as the motion to approve the appointment of Nicholas Guerrero as Mayor and Andrea Simpson as Deputy Mayor was part of today's agenda.


Internationally acclaimed local artist Christian Hook is opening the doors of his guardhouse studio to the general public today. As part of this special event, a range of prints will be on sale with ten percent of the sales going to the GBC Open Day. Shelina Assomul was there.

Gambling Tax Rise, Menopause

The UK House of Commons Treasury Select Committee has been considering arguments for and against the proposed tax increase on the gambling industry, expected to be announced in the UK Budget on 26 November. UK Gaming companies have threatened wide-spread closures if the Chancellor goes ahead with increased taxes. We discussed how this could affect Gibraltar.


But most of today’s episode will focus on menopause. What is it, how does it affect us, and why do we need to talk about it? We took a deep dive into this topic with Dr Reena Verdi, GP and part of the team at the Well Woman clinic; Daniella Payas and Gabriella Agius from the Department of personnel and development; and Petra Boddington, a fully qualified and licensed menopause champion.

Journalist and broadcaster Alice Mascarenhas has launched a new book, Palabras Al Viento, celebrating the writings and radio broadcasts of her father, Manolo Mascarenhas.


We caught up with Gibraltarian Pili Rodriguez, who has been unanimously reappointed as Chair of Citizens Advice International.


The Gibraltar National Museum has signed a landmark scientific cooperation agreement with a University in Marrakech, on bat conservation. Dr Stewart Finlayson explained the significance of this partnership.


And, a fashion show to celebrate 20 years of the Bosom Buddies charitable trust is happening on Thursday. We spoke to the show’s presenters Henry Sacramento and William Gomez.
