My name is Miyanna Vernon and my purpose is to share the faithfulness, goodness and marvelous love of God to the world through his word, personal testimony and the arts. The beauty of experiencing the full life that God intends for us to live on this earth is found not only in the good times but also in bad. Those moments in our lives that we try to pray away may not always be the most comfortable, but God promises to work all things together for our good, to those who are called according to his purpose. It’s in those times I believe that the lord teaches us about his sovereignty and grace.

*Bonus Episode* "The Power Of Gratitude"

Gods word encourages us to be grateful in all situations. No matter where you may find yourself in this particular season be sure to ask the lord for a different perspective other than your own. Sometimes we tend to prejudge the reasons behind why we go through the various things in our lives. The danger with that is we can tend to put more energy and focus into the problem it self that we miss out on the blessing of maturing and growing through it. We may not always know the origin of where and why we go through things (*Hardships) but we do have the choice to choose Gods perspective and let the lord show us just how he can turn what even the enemy meant for evil and work it for our good.

Giving God Glory Through Trauma
*Confession Series Finale* "Repentance Leads To Freedom"
All throughout the confession series I pray that the importance of confession and repentance was stressed enough. You can confess something but have no true remorse or sorrow in your heart towards that things. Confession and repentance go hand in hand. Being honest with God about a particular failure or mishap is one thing and honestly is a great place to start but it shouldn't ever just end there. True Repentance is more than opening up and getting things off you chest but it should lead to changed actions, mindset shifts, even a different heart posture. When we ask the lord for forgiveness we should also ask for the holy spirit to help us to stop doing whatever that "Sin" is. Now this doesn't mean that if your having a hard time walking away or saying no to that "Sin" that you just give up every time and don't ask for forgiveness. Each time wholeheartedly ask the lord to forgive you, (no matter how many times you've fallen). God's grace and mercy is everlasting. There should come to a point where you are so fed up with falling that you stop trying to break free from it in your own strength. I pray we all (me included) understand that without the holy spirits help we are not strong enough to break free from strongholds of sin. I believe that once we go to the lord and we seriously ask for his help he will help us. How he chooses to deliver me may look very different for you. So always seek the lord in prayer and know his word for yourself. There's power in acknowledging our weaknesses. We also receive power from the lord when we surrender and give up trying to fix ourselves and let the holy spirit do within us what we can't do. Giving God Glory Through Trauma
Confession Series Pt.3 "The Truth Is..."

It's important for us to be honest with God and ourselves. It's super easy at times to point out the flaws and negative attributes in others before we even acknowledge our own. Let's be honest none of us are perfect. It's in our humility that the lord can fully meet us and truly perfect those things within us that are not like him. It's uncomfortable having to own up to the fact that without Jesus we are lost and ultimately bound to our sins. I thank God everyday for Jesus and his sacrifice he made for us to break the sting and stronghold that sin once had on us. It's possible to live a life of freedom, no longer having to be ashamed of your past or failures. It's in that freedom that we allow the lord to take what was once dirty and useless to the world and clean it up and make it whole and new again. Allow yourself to be used by God entirely by giving him what you think is broken and watch him use that brokenness and turn it into a powerful and glorified ministry to help others around the world.

Confessions Series Pt. 2 "Breaking Generational Cycles of Addiction"

Today's episode I was blessed to talked with a friend of mine who was more than willing to share his testimony and struggles. We discussed specifically on topics with the temptations towards pornography and masturbation. I truly thank God that in all of our struggles we don't have to attempt to overcome them on our own. You'd be surprised just how many people around you are suffering or struggling with something but their either scared, prideful or ashamed to ask for help so much so that they end up finding themselves suffering/struggling in silence. God wants to help us, but what he won't do is force his way in. When we are open and honest with the lord about these things were actually giving him an invitation to come in and heal us from the root of the issue at hand.

Galatians 5:16-18

"So I say, walk by the spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

For the flesh desires what is contrary to the spirit, and the spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.

But if you are led by the spirit, you are not under the law."

Confession Series Pt. 1 “Coveting”

Todays episode will be a discussion/confession around the topic of Coveting. Although coveting is a topic that we sometimes associate with adultery and stealing, coveting can show it self in many forms. Jesus emphasized to his disciples the importance of recognizing that it's not what a man consumes that makes him evil or perverse, it's what's already in his heart that defiles a man. With that being said I would find myself coveting what my neighbors around me had just through my thoughts alone. In some cases yes it moved from my conscience to my actions. But more than not it was almost always a built up of envy, jealousy all mixed into one another, with disappointment being at the root. I had to be honest with the lord and truly come to him with what was truly on my heart. It's still a process even now but I believe that being honest is a place we should all desire to get to in our own relationship with the lord, ourselves and those around us. It's a step i pray all of us get to no matter where we find ourselves in life.

Exodus 20:17 (NKJV)

"You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's"

1 John 1:8-10 (ERV)

"If we say that we have no sin, we are fooling ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

But if we confess our sins, God will forgive us. We can trust God to do this. He always does what is right. He will make us clean from all the wrong things we have done.

If we say that we have not sinned, we are saying that God is a liar and that we don't accept his true teaching."

Blind To The Blessing
Have you ever been a season where it felt like you were experiencing storm after storm ? It's so easy in those moments to sulk and think about the things we don't have. We don't realize that when we do that we can miss out on the new things that God has been doing in our lives. Take a step back and be grateful for everything you have. Just to breath in and out is a blessing within it self. Always remember the storms that God sends always comes to stretch us, renew us and bring us into a closer walk with in our faith with God. Storms and trials are meant to shape us not break us.  James 4:7 "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you".  Colossians 3:2 "Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth"

Gods Timing ⏱️
Gods timing is so perfect and only the lord knows when we are truly ready. Trusting in Gods timing will help us to let go our own human timeclock. A lot of our disappointment is tied to our own idea of how we imagine for things to happen and a “right away” timetable of when we desire what we are praying for. Sometimes God may not be always saying no but he may be saying “not yet” my child. If the lord were to bless us with half of the things that we desire it would have the potential of crushing us or distracting us from becoming whole in the lord and seeking a deeper walk with him. Surrender your will and trust that the lord knows exactly what he’s doing and Gods timing is always perfect.

Surrender
Surrender is ceasing the act of fighting and holding onto something that can harm us in the end. How many of us are fighting against God's will for our lives ? When we resist submission we communicate to God that we don't trust him fully with the very intricate and sensitive details of our lives. Surrender is a process, it's not a one time thing.  Remember God is not a last resort, God should not even be an option. Undoubtedly he's the only answer.  So let me ask you; What does surrender look like in your life ?

Footholds 🦶
As we continue to walk in wholeness with God our appetites, mindsets and though patterns start to shift. This shift is meant to conform us to who God says we are and not the world view. It’s important that we become mindful of the decisions we make on a daily basis. One bad decisions made without discerning or guidance from the lord can lead to the formation of a gateway to form and open back up what God told us to close.

The Time Is Now !
I truly believe that God is placing a demand on what he’s instilled within you. Every gift, message, and anointing that he’s set before you must be released to the world. There’s people who are tied to your calling that needs to hear that message, that podcast, that book, that ministry. Whatever it is God is saying “I placing a demand on it to spring forth into the earth”. No longer will the excuse of inadequacy or doubt work in your life. You will experience that God will place pressure on that things he needs you to release in order to show you who Gods says that you are. Just remember that when God places us in uncomfortable situation and circumstances it’s not to hurt or break us, but it’s to stretch our faith and dependency on him and him alone.

The Purpose Of Our Trials
God is a good father. Instead of punishing us when we do wrong he corrects and disciplines us. There’s a huge difference between punishing and discipline. Us as humans sometimes relay to punish others. It’s almost a way for us to make others feel the same hurt and pain that we feel after what someone has done to us. But Gods discipline is to teach us how to turn away from our wrongs when we repent and are convicted of something. God corrects those who he loves and does it to build us up in our walk and journey with him. In the end there’s always a reason and purpose as to why we have to go through the things we go through. It’s all in end for our good !

No Worries “God Is In Control”
Even what we think is random never truly is. The lord orchestrates ours days so perfectly. He aligns every bit of protection and provision that we need in order to operate each day. We can now walk into a new sense of security in our father knowing that every trial , hardship or tribulation is in the hand of God. So what may look initially as a bad day can really be the start of a beautifully orchestrated plan of God to get us to where we need to be.

Broken Communication
If you grew up in a household where there was constant yelling and arguing, that’s ultimately all a person will know as they get older. It’s almost like we start to see that behavior as normal because maybe that’s what our parents did. So now as we walk into adulthood our whole speech is distorted, filled with lies and toxic patterns are formed due to the level of dysfunction that was never addressed at a young age. Part of our healing journey has to involve the “Dark and hidden things coming to light”. No more will use the excuse or cover up “what happens in this house stays in those house”. That’s how generational cycles are formed. Perversion than becomes the root to why we speak and act out the things we do.

Authenticity & Obedience
My name is Miyanna Vernon, this podcast was inspired by the Holy Spirit and ultimately was created to help those around the world to heal from any trauma they’ve experienced. We sometimes don’t realize just how much that trauma has affected a large part of how we view others, relationships, and even how we communicate. That dysfunction that some of us grew up in was not normal. Those are lies straight from the pits of hell. How we live our lives and who we are is connected to who God is and what God says in his word. The only way to truly be authentically who God created us to be and walk in that is by getting to know who God himself is. Through that revelation we can then have an open and honest relationship with our father in Heaven. Just remember when we give God our scared YES he can do more in our lives than we ever imagined. But in order to experience the groundbreaking power of his spirit in our lives we must die daily to what we want and pick up the cross and allow the lord to lead the way.

Giving God Glory Through Trauma
Introduction
Everything that has happened to us up until this very moment was already ordained and set before I was even placed on this earth. So what may be a new day to us is like a previously scheduled episode to the lord. There’s nothing new before God. So to go even deeper that means that the very events that have taken place or will take place has already been documented in heaven. For years I’ve prayed that the lord would reveal his entire will for my life. As of course I was not very successful in that search. In hindsight I’m glad I don’t know those things. I’ve come to find that somethings uncovered or known before it’s time can be a peace stealer. So instead of worrying about my future and watching my joy tank become depleted, I live each day that the lord gives me as if it’s my last. I may not know what’s up ahead but I have peace in knowing who’s been in control all along. So now I can live life with an open hand ready to shift to from one thing to the next as the lord leads, guides and directs me. My life is to be lived and given away to those whom the lord has called me to. But being available for the unexpected means to be ready to pivot and change direction when asked to at any moment. It’s not always exciting and it can be a bit scary but it’s in my scared yes that I’ve found that the lord has always been with me.

Blind Faith Pt. 2
It’s important to always ask the lord for a heart of humility. Sometimes when we pray and ask the lord to use us for his glory we don’t get to pick and choose how the lord will do that. Just know that whenever you find yourself even if it’s in the most uncomfortable and unforeseen circumstances God can meet you in your pit. Low moments of our lives may not feel like it but it can be one of the most pivotal times of our lives. Its where God starts to show us how truly dependable he is. Faith can not only be blind but it can sometimes be lonely. That’s when we truly see for ourselves that the lord “will never leave us nor forsake us”.

Blind Faith Pt. 1
God is looking all throughout the earth for willing vessels. When the lord calls us to great and mighty things it’s because the lord knows something about us that we don’t know. He created us and ordained us before we were even born. When the lords calls us he’s not calling because we have everything that we need to fulfill the call, but rather he calls those who he can trust to fully and wholeheartedly depend on the lord in order to step into the call and complete the assignment. Nothing is ever done in our own strength. The Holy Spirit is looking to partner with the humble and meek. What gets Jesus attention is surrendered children who are willing to be used on the earth in order to glorify the lord and build up the kingdom. A scared yes is better than a fearful no. The Importance Of Community
In our walk with the lord community is a vital component of our growth and development. Community is not just a one way path to receiving but it can also be used as a way to bless and help others. Community can open the door for healthy relationships, accountability, prayer partners and so much more. The lords desire for us is fellowship with other believers who are chasing after his heart. Doing life alone is not the will of God for us. Alone time with the lord is needed and highly recommended. It’s important to know the difference between sitting with the lord and self isolation. Below are some scriptures that emphasize the importance on community and fellowship with other believers. Bible Verses James 5:16 "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." Matthew 18:20 "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 "Two are better than one, because they have a more satisfying return for their labor, For If either of them falls , the will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and does not have another to lift him up. Again, if two lie down together, then they keep warm. But how can one be warm alone ? And though one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." Generational Cycle Breaker Pt.2: Watch What You Say
The words we speak have an enormous impact on not only our future but the future of generations. What we speak can either declare victory or defeat. It's so important to filter our speech through the word of God. Anything that doesn't align to the will of God whether that be our circumstances, finances or even relationships, our immediate response should be to speak that which God spoke originally and believe that God will and can still do what he said he will do. Ask yourself these questions this week.... 1. How do you talk to you ? 2. How do you talk to others, are you uplifting them or tearing them down? 3. What are some things that others throughout your life have spoken over you? (Good or bad) 4. Based off of your answers, what kind of fruit has that produced in your life ? (AKA... What results do you see from that ?) Reach out to us, and stay connected !  Love you Family !
