In the  wake of Remembrance Day 2025  #royal british legion, our theme for this program is 'Service'.  Every month, we are joined by Aberdeen Port Chaplain Iain Sanders and his wife Rosie on to Gospel Cafe which airs live on Monday evenings.  Iain works for #SCFS - Sea farers Christian Friends Society who are there to reach out to sea farers whether in the UK, Europe and as far away at St Lucia and Australia with Christ's love.  Iain and Rosie come on to paint a picture of the hidden life of sea farers whose service we take so much for granted. During the program, thoughts and prayers also turned to service personnel in the forces. At the end of the program, Iain also made reference to the work of #SASRA - Soldiers and Aviators Scripture Readers Association We hope that this podcast will give you hope. Predestination - Greek word for Predestined is PRO - before, outside, prior, ahead. What Paul is saying, then, is that God's plan for us began in a decision to enter into relationship with us. This led, in turn, to his decision to “predestine” us. As the English verb suggests, this word (proorizo) simply means to direct a person to a particular goal. Cooperation - the action or process of working together to the same end. Matthew 22.1-14 Parable of the Great Feast 1Jesus also told them other parables. He said, 2“The Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a king who prepared a great wedding feast for his son. 3When the banquet was ready, he sent his servants to notify those who were invited. Cafe Conversations is a podcast edited from an edition of Gospel Cafe. Gospel Cafe is a melting pot and flagship program for Gospel4Grampian.  Its really designed to take the radio out to the people in communities to find out what God is doing in people's lives and celebrate God's Goodness through poetry, testimony, music, drama, reports, scripture.  Who knows one day soon, we'll be able to get out and about again.
