In IL, Cook County looks to push for commonly owned weapon ban challenge at the Supreme Court. In LA, the FPC and SAF filed a brief in Reese v. ATF seeking nationwide relief after the federal handgun sales ban for 18–20-year-olds was struck down. In MN, Governor Tim Walz launched his third-term campaign centered on bans for what he calls assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, background checks, and red-flag laws.
