"A new dimension in Podcast" - Halloween season continues as Phil takes 1982's Friday the 13th Part 3 off the shelf. After barely surviving part 2, Dave find the franchise to be at its nadir while the death toll rises, the performance quality and creativity falls. Despite this, is interested in what comes next. Phil recalls this movie being his favorite when he saw it but wonders exactly why that is the case. Almost nothing he remembers held up to this viewing but enjoys some of the kills and thinks that watching in 3D was a better experience. Both agree that the new theme song is awesome.
Phil and Dave continue the Friday 13th series as Dave gives Jason the nod over Freddy. Phil is always up for some more gore while Dave still doesn't have the appetite for blood although he admits the first installment did make him curious to see what comes next..
Phil hands Dave a fork and asks him to pick a which side of the road they will travel on. It's Freddy vs Jason and Jason gets the first crack . Phil and Dave will continue with the series Dave decides best suits his palette. It's a win for Phil either way while Dave was meant to suffer through Phil's lust for blood and gore..
Phil brings of this award winning "horror" film which could also be considered a psychological thriller. Dave not being of legal age upon it's release along with not being a fan of these types of films had no choice to take a bite out the film. Phil, without a doubt, was excited to revisit the film that he remembered so fondly as a small child.
