✈️ vs 🚄: In this special two-part episode, Imogen and Abbie slow-travel to a fellow sustainability presenter friend’s (Hi Jess!) wedding in Portugal. Only, they forwent the fast route, swapped out the budget airline for an  @InterrailEU  Global Pass (very kindly gifted! 😌) and took the scenic route.

What started as a plan to reduce their carbon footprint quickly became an odyssey of missed connections, vintage markets, run in with a rogue dog spa, free ice cream, and a whole lot of wine. Was it smooth? Not entirely. Joyful? Abso-bloody-lutely.

🌍 From Beach Litter to Vape Ban: Laura Young (@LessWasteLaura) on Campaigning for Change

In this episode of Green Queens, we’re joined by environmental scientist, campaigner, and all-round climate powerhouse Laura Young—better known as @LessWasteLaura—to unpack how a tweet about litter picking turned into a nationwide movement to ban disposable vapes in the UK.

What started with a walk on a beach covered in plastic waste quickly snowballed into a grassroots campaign that gained support from 29 out of 32 Scottish councils—and brought the issue all the way to Westminster. Laura led this while studying for her PhD and creating accessible, science-backed content.
