At the Healey Brothers Pod, we’re at FDR High School to shine a spotlight on the Roosevelt Racing program and our partnership with the Winners Circle Project.
In this episode, we sit down with Sean, Derek, and Lisa from FDR to break down how their students build a Factory Five Shelby Cobra nicknamed “Black Lightning,” create a full visual brand, and run real marketing campaigns — all while still in high school.
They share how the program ties together three classes — Build, Visual Communications, and Marketing — plus a Pathways to Success component that focuses on careers, internships, and life skills. From learning deadlines and teamwork to presenting, fundraising, and competing against other schools for a single trophy, these students are getting real-world automotive, media, and business experience long before graduation.
We also talk about why Healey Brothers is so invested in supporting programs like this, how alumni have already moved on to colleges, racing programs, and internships, and why giving students hands-on opportunities like Roosevelt Racing is a win for the whole community.
