In the first episode of season 2, Adrianne and Theodora start the episode off by giving back to school tips that they sources from their friends and the internet! Following the tips, the hosts interview Dr. Bibiana Garcia-Bailo a Professor from the Nutritional Science department of the University of Toronto and the Head of Research and Development at Nutrigenomix a personal nutrition company (23andMe for Nutrition). Dr. Garcia-Bailo tells Theodora and Adrianne how college students can eat healthily on a budget, whether or not fad diets work, the newest innovations in personalized nutrition and much more!
In this episode, Theodora and Adrianne discuss precautions everyone should take in the holiday season! They discuss how to be safe while drinking, what Asian glow is as well as what to do to be safe during the pandemic! On a related note, they also cover the new COVID-19 vaccine to debunk any unfound fears about the vaccine!!!
To switch things up, our hosts did a live stream on IGTV to interact with followers of our main IG account, healthXvisuals, where we post infographics. Adrianne and Theodora had a great time interacting with the audience and having a more casual conversation about geriatric care, arthritis, Alzheimer's and Neurodegenerative Disorders. In the month of October, the US celebrated National Disability Employment Awareness Month! This episode, Theodora and Adrianne touch upon invisible disabilities and accessibility services at a post-secondary level. They also spend some time debunking myths about skin conditions and how everyone can care for their skin in the upcoming winter season.
In this episode, Co-hosts Theodora and Adrianne talk about what health literacy is and what people can do to become more health literate. In conjunction with healthXvisuals' infographics as well as World Mental Health Day, the hosts also address what the Dos and Don'ts of talking to a friend about mental health. To top it all off, Theodora and Adrianne take mental health and health literacy to the debunking myths section to adress some common misconceptions.
