Watch before listening—spoilers ahead!
It’s Jacob’s pick this week, so of course the Zeroes are diving into Christopher Nolan’s twisty, obsessive magician showdown: The Prestige. Jacob is in absolute heaven breaking down the lighting, structure, and every-frame-is-a-clue brilliance. Jenna is firmly Team Christian Bale, Nick passionately defends Hugh Jackman’s flair for dramatic vengeance, and Sam the Pig is just trying to figure out which part of the plot is the actual magic trick.

It’s Jenna’s pick this week, and she’s marching the Zeroes straight into Revolutionary War melodrama with The Patriot. Jenna is fully invested in the emotional battlefield (and yes, she cries at the flag scene every single time). Nick cannot get over how intensely Mel Gibson this movie is, Jacob won’t stop analyzing the smoky, golden battlefield cinematography, and Sam the Pig cheers anytime a horse gallops across the screen.
Watch before you listen. Spoiler alert! It’s Nick’s pick this week, and he’s dragging the Zeroes straight into the Coen Brothers’ perfectly deranged world of idiocy and espionage with Burn After Reading. Nick swears this is peak “everyone in D.C. is an idiot” cinema. Jenna is crying laughing over Brad Pitt’s gym-himbo energy, Jacob can’t get over how beautifully the Coens frame absolute incompetence, and Sam the Pig relates a little too hard to characters who have no idea what’s going on but stay committed anyway.
It’s Jacob’s pick this week, so of course we’re diving into Christopher Nolan’s most obsessive, shadow-soaked magic rivalry: The Prestige. Jacob is in absolute heaven breaking down the film’s lighting, structure, and “every frame is a clue” energy. Jenna is firmly Team Christian Bale, Nick cannot stop defending Hugh Jackman’s dramatic flair, and Sam the Pig is just trying to figure out which part of the plot is the actual “magic trick.”
Illusions, obsession, and the pettiest vengeance in cinema—welcome to Hollywood Zeroes.
The Zeroes take on the cinematic event of the century: Barbenheimer. Jenna shows up in full pink, emotionally prepared for Barbie’s existential crisis arc. Nick arrives in full black, emotionally prepared for Oppenheimer’s existential crisis arc. Jacob won’t stop talking about the contrast between Greta Gerwig’s dreamworld pastels and Nolan’s atomic-age dread. And Sam the Pig? He’s equally obsessed with both… mostly because each film provides a different snack break vibe.
Two movies. One chaotic double-feature. Maximum whiplash. Welcome to Hollywood Zeroes.
This week, it’s Sam the Pig’s pick, and the little guy goes big with True Romance—because apparently our four-legged co-host has a thing for chaotic lovers. Jenna is here for the romance, Jacob is feral over Tony Scott’s neon-drenched style, and Nick insists that Clarence and Alabama are the most unhinged couple ever put to screen.
It’s Jenna’s pick this week, and she’s dragging the Zeroes straight into the emotional deep end with The Green Mile.
Get to know the crew behind Hollywood Zeroes: one gal, two guys, and a pig (yes, really) who love movies way too much to take them seriously. Jenna, Nick, Jacob, and Sam “Ham the Pig” bring their unfiltered takes, questionable opinions, and unstoppable enthusiasm to every episode. No critics. No gatekeeping. Just four Zeroes who really, really like talking movies.
Join Hollywood Zereos—Nick, Jenna, Jacob, and Sam (Ham the Pig)—as they dive into Paul Thomas Anderson’s There Will Be Blood. From Daniel Plainview’s unhinged ambition to Eli Sunday’s chaotic spiritual grifting, the crew breaks down the film’s iconic performances, stunning cinematography, and capitalistic meltdown energy…with plenty of irreverent Zereos banter along the way.
